The Grand Wedding Photos

I was SO excited to photograph Alaina and Cain’s wedding day! I had the best time getting to know them at their engagement session and they were getting married at a venue I’ve never been to before so it meant I got to be creative in a new environment! Then I started watching the weather a week away and saw rain. Every day I checked the weather and every day, it wasn’t getting any better. In fact, it was getting WORSE. I couldn’t believe it. It was the first time in a LONG time I was going to have nonstop rain on a wedding day. But one thing helped me go into their wedding day optimistically… and it was ALAINA! I spoke with her throughout the week and every time she was just SO happy and positive. “It’s going to be perfect no matter what!” THAT attitude is what you need on a wedding day! To know that you can’t change the weather and no matter what the weather is, at the end of the day you ARE going to marry the love of your life! And THAT is more exciting than anything else!! Because of her fantastic attitude, I showed up PUMPED UP!

And it all went better than anyone ever could have imagined it would! All her vendors understood the assignment and we all worked together to make it a flawless and fun wedding day! Their fantastic venue had SO MANY great covered options, despite the rain we were able to hang out OUTSIDE the entire time for photos and get great photos!! After the photos were done, it was time for these two to officially be married. Cain broke the glass under the prettiest chuppah and they were finally husband and wife after a beautiful ceremony mixing both their Jewish and Christian faiths. Walking into their reception space was like walking into a dream on a cloud! It was lit up beautifully with flowers everywhere and the prettiest head table that Alaina and Cain sat at with their bridal party. They entered their reception on an elevator that brought them up THROUGH THE FLOOR!! I remember them telling me about this at their engagement session and I’ve anxiously awaited seeing what that moment looked like – it did not disappoint! lol Their choreographed first dance was flawless and then they opened up the dance floor with their incredible wedding band, The Nerds! We escaped the dance floor for a bit so Alaina could change into her after-party dress and we could grab some quick photos of the two of them once more, before it was time to say goodbye! Now they are on their honeymoon and the trip of a lifetime in South Africa!! Alaina and Cain, I wish you both the absolute BEST in your future together!! 🙂
