This past weekend I met up with Candace and Michael at Sayen House & Gardens for their engagement session! It was just the most perfect day for a shoot! It was nearly 80 degrees out which was wild for November but still great because at least we weren’t freezing! The great thing was you’d never know from these photos how warm it was because the leaves were still on trees so the foliage and light were all perfect! A photographer’s dream!

I was so excited to finally meet Candace and Michael for their engagement session! I say finally because I feel like I have been talking to Candace for months through emails! It was so fun to FINALLY meet her in person! These two have known each other since they were SIXTEEN!! They met at a friend’s sweet 16 party, and chatted through BBM (guys… when she told me that, it brought me back! lol that’s blackberry messenger for all the gen z’s reading this!) for a while getting to know each other and officially began dating a year later… and have been together ever since! Finally, after ten years together, Michael proposed to Candace last spring at Warwick Winery! They brought along a bottle of wine from the winery to celebrate their engagement photos too!

Since they’re getting married in November, they wanted their engagement photos in November! And they did amazing during their session!! Candace & Michael were SO relaxed, and up for anything during their session! If they had any nerves, I had no idea! It was so fun getting to know them both better and I just can’t wait for next November when they officially become husband and wife!! Enjoy my favorites from their session! 🙂
