Oh man – I was not at ALL prepared for the emotional day that Megan & Brandon’s wedding day was this past Saturday! SO many emotions all day long. A little fear that a hurricane would hit in the middle of their celebration (spoiler alert: it never came!) SO much joy – their Bridal Party was absolutely HILARIOUS! They had us dying laughing all day long, they were SO much fun to hang out with. So many tears – from the Bride & Groom themselves, from their sweet families… of course from ME! lol So much love. Love was everywhere that day. Megan & Brandon have the sweetest love and it was such an honor to capture and witness these two becoming husband and wife.
The tears started so early in the day! And it was like a bomb that kept going off lol at any moment, SOMEONE just teared up and could not stop crying! When Brandon’s brother brought Megan a gift from Brandon (something she wasn’t even expecting!) she instantly teared up – before she had even opened it. Of course once she read the sweet card he wrote her, she couldn’t stop crying! And from that moment on that’s how it was all day. Megan’s bridesmaids tearing up after they saw her for the first time, EVERYONE crying watching Megan & her dad see each other. When they walked down the aisle together towards Brandon in their ceremony and he teared up seeing his Bride for the first time. Their sweet, emotional (and choreographed!) first dance, the parent dances (oh MAN! I could not even see through my camera, I was crying so much!) It’s a beautiful thing to be in the presence of love that can move not only the Bride & Groom but everyone around them to tears! I NEVER find it embarrassing when I or anyone else cries because it’s such a natural thing to do! I LOVE the quote “tears words the heart can’t express” and that’s never been more true! Megan & Brandon’s love and wedding day was so beautiful, words simply can’t describe it!
Their wedding day was not all tears though! It is a celebration after all and through our tears, we had the BEST time! My favorite part, hands down, was their sweet ceremony outside at the Molly Pitcher Inn. It was a short ceremony but a lovely one too. While they exchanged their vows and their rings, they also decided to tie the knot – literally! They tied two ropes into a knot together – and as they tied it and it showed that under pressure, like the knot, a couple can become stronger. LOVED that! And so did their guests. And their officiant explained it, their guests all went “aww” – it was a great personal touch to their ceremony. And before we knew it, they were MARRIED!! I loved watching them walk down the aisle, be handed champagne and as they took a sip – locking eyes and realizing they were actually Husband and Wife. PURE JOY on their faces! lol And it was so great watching Brandon just be in shock that there was a ring on his finger the rest of the night! lol We only had their entire cocktail hour to make ALL their photos happen and I was in amazement of how EFFORTLESS it felt. After their family and bridal party pics, we took Megan & Brandon down by the dock for photos right as the sun was setting. Threats of a hurricane hitting were looming all day long and it NEVER came. How amazing is that?? It was a teeny bit windy but that’s it! The cloud parted, the rain disappeared and it became the perfect day for them 🙂
After all their pics – these two were ready to DANCE! They had the ONLY epic entrance into their reception too! They came in to “Lose Yourself” by Eminem in black hoodies that read MR and MRS. STUMPF on the back! lol NO ONE saw that entrance coming. And no one saw their beautiful first dance that followed it. It was so gorgeous! Hilarious toasts from their Maid of Honor and Best Men followed (I mean – my side hurt from how hard I was laughing!!), a touching toast from Megan’s dad and before we knew it it was party time. And wow, that dance floor NEVER emptied. One of the BEST receptions we’ve been to! This was the first wedding all year where we actually stayed until the end of it and it was SO fun! 🙂 I can’t believe Megan & Brandon’s wedding day has already come and gone but I’m SO happy we get to relive it with their photos!!
Megan & Brandon – congratulations!! Thank you for letting us be a part of your celebration and we hope you’re having the BEST time in Antigua!! Enjoy our favorite images from their wedding day.
