It was a MIRACLE that we had a Saturday free smack in the middle of our summer wedding season and it was a miracle that Ashley & Brandon happened to have it free too! They drove in all the way from Pennsylvania to have their engagement session on the Jersey Shore and it was just the perfect day! They chose to do a morning engagement session in the lovely beach town in Manasquan, which was the best decision ever! There are no people in the ocean behind them, you can barely tell there are people fishing on the rocks… and on my way home from their session I saw the ONLY traffic of cars heading down to the beach so seriously, BEST decision! Getting up bright and early paid off for all those reasons but also the GLOW. The glow in morning sessions is indescribable and it is all over Ashley & Brandon’s photos. Not to mention they are just the cutest EVER.

I always start my engagement sessions by warning my couples that it might feel awkward and that’s totally normal. They were just like “okay”, as if they were totally fine with being awkward. But I quickly realized that was not the case. It was the exact OPPOSITE. They were TOTALLY comfortable having their picture taken and wow – their photos are SO great!! These two are so sweet together. The way Ashley would nuzzle into Brandon, the way he would look at her… it’s the stuff woman dream of and Ashley’s one lucky girl 🙂 It just melted my heart to watch these two together from behind my camera and you can see that love in each and every photo! They brought a bunch of props with them to their session, as so many of my couples do, but one of my favorites was a knot of rope they brought. You know – because they are “tying the knot”! lol But seeing them hold the rope together, it symbolized so much more than that. This knot was THEM. They are a knot – they are tied together as one and nothing can break or loosen their bond 🙂 I got real deep on ya there, didn’t I? lol But it’s true! Look at their photos and tell me these two will not end up having the BEST time being married to each other!

Ashley & Brandon have over a year and half left before their “I dos” so they have a nice long time to enjoy their engagement but I just had the BEST time talking with them both all morning at their session! From our sleeping habits to our favorite food to Harry Potter & Disney World (it always comes back to Disney for me! lol) When their session was over, I had wished we could just start it all over again because these two are every photographers dream – plus they are just the sweetest two people ever 🙂 It was such a blast and their photos are some of my favorites EVER!! Ashley & Brandon – thanks for traveling all the way to New Jersey and letting me capture your love!
