I warn you now… your face will hurt you after looking at Jennifer & Kody’s photos because you WILL be smiling too much! Their love and joy is SO contagious, my face literally hurt me while I was editing these photos because I could not stop smiling. I met Jennifer before I met Kody and though she warned me he was quiet and not a big talker, I knew we wouldn’t have any problems during their session because Jennifer’s smile is KILLER. So I knew Kody would make her smile ten times bigger, which would then make him smile, and everything would be okay 🙂 Sure enough, I was right. Everything was seriously PERFECT. Perfect weather, the cutest props, my new favorite ring shot (and this is only the 1st engagement session of the year!) and the cutest couple ever. I’m telling you! You will catch yourself smiling right along with them!

Jennifer & Kody just got engaged this past December while they were picking out their first Christmas Tree on a Christmas tree farm! How romantic is that!? And they have been lucky enough during their wedding planning to have everything lining up perfectly for them… ESPECIALLY since they’ll be getting married THIS August! Within the first month and a half of their engagement, they booked their venue and DJ and now… Photographer! 🙂 When we met, Jennifer knew she wanted to take photos as quickly as possible because she wanted some for their Save the Dates and with some planning, we made it happen within a week of our first meeting! We knew it’d be a possibility that it would be COLD and there would still be snow on the ground and she was willing to wear cute jackets and boots 🙂 Well imagine our surprise when we checked the weather for their session date and it was only getting warmer and warmer. When I headed down to meet them, the temperature was 60 degrees!! This does NOT happen in January… in New Jersey!? We couldn’t have asked for better weather. Even when it got a little chilly on the beach, it was ten times better than it could have been and I’m so thankful it all worked out perfectly for these two 🙂

Jennifer & Kody love Spring Lake… so much that it’s going to be where they get married too! The beach is someplace they love to spend their time and with the perfect January weather, we took full advantage of all their favorite spots on the Beach and around Spring Lake! Jennifer only had a week to prep for this session and with a special thanks to the weather, it all came together wonderfully. Along with the most adorable props, including a blanket, adorable little ampersand, Jennifer’s beach cruiser and champagne (Yup! Dream come true!)… this session was beachy perfect! Even when it got a little cold, they still managed to look cute in their jackets. It was such a fun day and now I can’t wait to come back to all these spots with them and their Bridal Party on their wedding day. I just KNOW it is going to be a beautiful wedding day. This gorgeous couple surrounded by their best friends, at a beautiful church and venue… everything just sounds like it’s going to be amazing! I had so much fun getting to know them both better during their session and can not wait to see them again in August, in warmer temperatures 🙂 Jennifer & Kody, I hope you LOVE your engagement photos!
