I do NOT consider myself a Type-A person by any means necessary – I am not RIGIDLY organized to the point where if something is out of place I FREAK. With that being said, I do love me some organization. For as long as I could remember I’ve always written down important dates on a wall calendar or on a notepad. I’m NOT into digital organization and NEVER use my iPhone calendar or even my desktop calendar for anything. I’m old fashioned…  I prefer to WRITE things down and see it in ink. It’s funny that up until two years ago I never even used planners! I just always had a million post-its or my wall calendar to write things down. Once this business of mine started to get busy, I knew I needed a better system for keeping track of all my dates. That’s where the Emily Ley Simplified planner comes in 🙂

I discovered this planner YEARS ago, when Emily Ley first came out with it. However, I didn’t buy myself a planner until last year and was just in LOVE with it! I bought the daily planner and like I said, since I’m not Type-A, I felt it was a bit TOO much for me to keep track of. I didn’t need every minute of every day broken down… just needed a bit of a more broad organization. Last fall Emily Ley came out with the WEEKLY Simplified planner and it was PERFECT! I knew this is JUST what I needed! A light & thin, colorful and practical planner 🙂 It comes in a few different colors and I just fell in love with the Navy Polka dot version so I snatched that one up quick. It was PERFECT! No matter which one you get, I could not recommend this planner more! It’s wonderful. Super colorful, easy to find your dates and full of inspirtation 🙂 You’ll see what I mean below. Each month is broken down to each day, with tabs to fill in your plans! There’s even a section to meal plan if you’d like which is SUPER good! And at the top of every Month page is an Inspirational quote – love that!!

LOVE the clean layout of each page, with Holidays already added in and a NOTES column on the side to write in some at-a-glance tidbits for myself!

So colorful! Each month is a different color and when you open up the tab to that month, the color is consistent through it. Also love the Pineapple in Emily’s logo!
