Every year, thanks to the insane number of birthdays that crowd the month, I LOATHE September. I really do. But this year… I was kind of sad to see September go! Maybe it’s because we decided to vacation smack in the middle of the madness and it gave us a very welcomed break, maybe because all the birthday celebrations included a lot more relaxed celebrating this year and a lot less running around and going crazy. It was really fun to celebrate each and every birthday, especially Jose’s of course 🙂 Not only that but it officially felt like Fall when we came back from Disney and I soaked it up! The greatest season on Earth is finally here and it was so nice to transition into it with warm fuzzy slippers, pumpkin candles and spiced lattes and foliage everywhere. It was a nice change from the Florida heat! Something very unfortunate happened as well last month… my hair was chopped off! Yes CHOPPED! It was cut a whole lot shorter than I asked for and a LOT shorter than I ever wanted. In fact, I cried for a good half hour before coming to terms with the fact that this is my hair now and I have to deal with it. 🙁 I’m still dealing with it! It’s not my favorite thing in the world right now but oh well! My hair is healthier, a LOT healthier than it’s been in a long time, and Jose doesn’t hate it which is very good. But yeah… let’s just keep ignoring the fact that happened…
And of course there was Disney World. It’s funny because you REALLY TRULY don’t realize how amazing a vacation is for you until you are back home and back into your everyday life and work. Disney was just the BEST this time around. It was all new and fun, we did countless things we haven’t done before and do not even get me started on Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter World section of Universal Studios (I smell a post coming next week…). It was all just wonderful and we were so sad to see it end but so happy to have done it 🙂 And oh my gosh… do you see that ice cream at the bottom?? THAT IS NOT ICE CREAM! It’s a Dole Whip! And it’s the most magical thing we ate on our vacation. Maybe because it was close to 100 degrees when we ate it and we were craving something cold… but the best way to describe it is whipped pineapple sorbet and it was DELICIOUS! So so good! The highlight of our vacation 🙂
October crept up on me so quickly… that is why this post is coming to you in our second week of this month! I suddenly realized I didn’t recap September! This month is already pretty awesome and can’t wait to keep experiencing all the beauty October has to offer 🙂 Still… So long September! You are missed already!
