Guess what!? I spoke to soon in my last post and this week we have been slammed with TWO snowstorms in one week! And rumor has it a third one is on it’s way. I jinxed us. I jinxed the entire north east. I messed up guys, I’m sorry! If I sound happy about this, I apologize because I really am not. I can’t even explain how much I dislike snow. I always have disliked it too, even when I was little! Sure my friends and I would get together on snow days and grab our garbage can lids and go tubing down hills – but I got tired of it real quick. ESPECIALLY once snow got in my face. Not about that.

As an adult, the dislike for snow has grown so quickly mostly because I have to drive in it. I have to walk my dogs in it. Even they hate it. But the sad truth is nothing can change it so we have to learn to embrace the snow and deal with it. All I do is keep repeating myself “february is a short month. march brings spring.” I’ve spent my past few snow days thinking “how can I make the most of out this??” and I’ve come up with a few solutions! Most of them are catching up on work, writing emails, keeping my office and desk clean and just making sure I’m always being productive in my business. But what happens when I’m all caught up on that? Then what?? Here are some fun ideas for What to do on a Snow Day!

1. Cuddle with your favorite person or animal and watch the snow fall. [or in my case, animals]

On Monday, as I sat at my coffee table putting dates into my planner I looked up and caught my cat, Hitchcock, standing just like this watching the snow. He wasn’t just looking straight like he is in this picture… he was fully watching it and moving his head in amazement. My heart broke in half over his cuteness and I got up and sat on the window ledge with him, watching the snow. Through the eyes of a cat – there’s no reason to be upset about the snow but just watch it and enjoy it, while it’s pretty too!

2. Catch up on your favorite TV shows!

I am fully caught up on GIRLS thanks to the snow storm and today, we are about to continue watching Breaking Bad! There has to be a show you a. need to catch up on or b. want to watch & haven’t had the time to start it. Guess what? Now’s the time! 🙂

3. Plan a WARM vacation!

Guess what I’ve been doing the past few days? Consuming my mind with warm thoughts. Palm trees, beaches, flip flops on my feet. We are trying to plan two trips this year – a trip to visit Jose’s mom in Puerto Rico & a trip to California. While it’s snowing inside, I’m busy googling and bookmarking nothing but fun, WARM things to do and distracting my mind from what’s outside my window. It’s working 🙂

4. EMBRACE the snow day!

Hot chocolate with marshmallows, lots of blankets and warm socks, movie marathons, s’mores by the fire, – just embrace what your ideal snow day is and live it! It’s the winter and it’s only here for a short time so let’s do what we do with all the other seasons … simply embrace it 🙂 The other day I brought the dogs out when they didn’t have to pee and just let them run around in the snow. It was so cute to watch them embrace the snow and just have fun with it. While I admit, I won’t have fun with snow… I’ll make the most out of my day inside and have fun too!

If you’re having a snow day, I hope you enjoy it staying warm and cozy! I’d love to know what YOU do in a snow storm too! 🙂 leave me a comment and let me know!
