Oh January, I am SO happy you are done and over with! Why you ask? Because you were BRUTAL! You were cold, very cold, and you had me cranky thanks to the horrible weather. This weekend is the first weekend of February and I’m so happy to have February here for several reasons. One – it’s the Superbowl on Sunday! It’s being held at Metlife Stadium only 20 minutes away from us but we are all “pssh whatever” and having people over our house to watch the big game. I’m not too into football AT ALL so I’m excited just to have people over our apartment, decorate for the Superbowl & eat some chips and queso! Two – it’s supposed to be in the 40s!! WHOO! It’s a wonderful change from 16 degree weather here in Northern Jersey and this terrible month-long Polar Vortex so it’s about to feel like spring this weekend. I’m real excited y’all. Not only that but Valentines Day is upon us and I just love that holiday. Valentines Day lands on a friday this month which means we are staying in and enjoying a valentines day alone at home. We’ve got it all planned out! Hanging out at home in our pjs, making pancakes and bacon and breakfast sausage [Jose prefers bacon, I prefer breakfast sausage] and watch a wonderful romantic comedy. How simple and romantic 🙂 Much better than waiting two hours with all the other couples for a table at Outback!

While I excitedly look ahead to February and keeping busy in warmer temperatures, I can’t help but look back at the first month of 2014. It was really good, minus all the snow! We decided we will be staying in our apartment for another year once our rent is renewed in April and decided to start making our apartment feel more home-y so I redid my office [and can’t wait to share it!], we spiced up our kitchen with a fun peel and stick backsplash & finally rid the apartment of christmas boxes! And red, purple and pink threw up on our apartment in preparation for Valentines Day 🙂 We watched lots of TV shows and are ALMOST done with Breaking Bad! I’m really not cut out for binge watching so it’s taking us a while to finish.

See ya, January! February… PLEASE bring us warmer temperatures! That’s all I ask!
