Engagement sessions are starting back up and I’m so happy! I love getting to know my couples before their wedding day! Sonya and Eric met me on the evening of a crazy hot summer day at the gorgeous Grounds for Sculpture for their engagement session. Since they’re getting married near the water next year, they knew they wanted something totally different for their engagement photos, as well as a location that was somewhat unique. It was the PERFECT location for just that! We found some of the prettiest backdrops and luckily, hot summer days mean GORGEOUS light in their photos!

Eric proposed to Sonya earlier this year on Superbowl Sunday! You might figure this out once you scroll through their session but these two LOVE football! Eric was actually born on a Superbowl Sunday so he’s literally BORN to be a football fan! lol He went all out with his proposal getting their families involved, making personalized Jersey’s for the both of them and even had a ceramic football dish that read “will you marry me?”… of course, she said YES! They included their love of football in their session because it just had to be done! But just by watching them, I could see how much they love each other. They giggled while they held hands and kissed the entire session long and I just loved getting to know them both better! Though honestly, I feel like by our very first email exchange – I knew and loved Sonya! lol She felt like a long lost friend!
