There’s nothing more fun spending a wedding day with a laid back couple and these two are as laid back as they come! Torie & Jim wanted to switch things up for their wedding day and make it an entire weekend of celebrating. Why celebrate on just one day when you can do TWO!? They knew they wanted to incorporate their love of the beach and Jim’s love for golf so they split it up perfectly… The first day was a small intimate ceremony where they got married in a church a block from the beach in Bay Head. The second was the celebration at Glen Ridge Country Club, with a sprawling golf course and the New York skyline as the view from their reception!

They got ready with their bridal parties in beach houses, rode a retro school bus called “The E Street Shuttle” (so perfectly Jersey!) to the church and in front of only 20 of their closest friends and family, were married! Torie’s uncle officiated the wedding which made it so much more special! After a fun ribbon exit from the church, and non-stop honking by cars as they drove by, we all walked over to the beach for portraits! It was HOT but these guys were troopers! We took some quick portraits on the beach before heading back to the bus and toasting the new Mr. and Mrs.! And that was it – my time with them was done for the day – though they did head over to Jenks and danced on the dance floor while the band played Matchbox 20 and took shots with their bridal party! 🙂

The very next day, guests made their way to the beautiful Glen Ridge Country Club to simply celebrate Torie and Jim! No second ceremony – just straight to a party and I LOVED it! They mingled and just got to drink, eat and dance the night away! We had a threat of rain all day, which was somewhat nice because it felt a little cooler out all day. Jim loves to play golf so we spent our portrait time on the golfing range and in the golf cart – and I just fell in love with these two through it all! They’re SO funny, so relaxed and didn’t care about anything but having the best time together. They NEVER left the dance floor and made sure everyone was dancing along with them. And at the end of the night… they handed out MICKEY ICE CREAM BARS to their guests straight from Walt Disney World!! Oh yes, they’re a Disney loving couple too!! I mean, we clicked from the minute Torie emailed me and I’d been looking forward to this day ever since. And would you believe that over the span of two days, EVERYTHING worked out perfectly!? I was honored to be a part of such a fun and memorable weekend and can’t wait to finally share my favorite images with you all! 🙂
