From the minute we met, Meredith & Adam knew EXACTLY where they wanted to shoot their Engagement Session. Up in Lake Wallenpaupack in Pennsylvania, Adam’s family owns a house where they have spent countless summer (and winter) days! They would spend weekends there, down on their docks, riding out on their boats into the lake for hours… enjoying each others company, having a few drinks and laughs. This is where some of their favorite memories are made and it just seemed so right to shoot at the house. The moment I met them Meredith & Adam INSTANTLY felt like long lost friends that I am always catching up with every time we see each other. They are just so easy for me to talk to! It never feels like I’m talking to my clients, just my friends that I’m lucky enough to photograph. And they really are a photographers dream… so photogenic and so loving with each other. They were constantly kissing and making each other laugh. I never had to say to them “Ok! Can you kiss for me?” They always just did it and it was so sweet to watch them behind the camera 🙂 Maybe it was the few wine and beers we had before we started in their system that eased their nerves but these two are PROS at taking pictures! Even when I met Meredith’s mom a few months ago she said it herself, “They are so great at taking pictures and just being themselves!” Yup, nailed it!

The great thing about Adam’s families lake house is the dock right out on the lake. I don’t think I’ve ever shot an Engagement Session like this where I literally DID NOT MOVE THEM for an hour. We just kept going back and forth all over this dock taking pictures and if the sun didn’t set, I could have kept shooting there. What was even better was how private it was! They really could be themselves and feel natural because there was no one around for MILES! Lake Wallenpaupack is HUGE and you could see boats and houses in the distance but there was so much space on this lake, it always felt hidden and intimate. I just LOVED it there! I loved it even more because Meredith & Adam made it so relaxing and inviting, like I was family visiting. I am SO excited for their wedding day next year and was so thrilled to shoot their Engagement Session to catch up and hang out with them again. I love love LOVE their pictures and think you will too! These are some of my favorite pics… just them being themselves. I was barely telling them what to do. In the photo below, they just looked at me and smiled 🙂 the cutest, I swear!

We climbed up those steps to the front of the house to take some photos with those adorable old row boat Adam’s family saved and it was so worth it!
