We had been looking forward all summer to finally taking a quick summer trip up to Hyannis in Cape Cod. We left Thursday and would travel back Sunday home – yup a QUICK trip! It was our first time spending a summer trip in New England and we were excited to see what it offered! Though our trip was cut [very] short by a family emergency with my Grandma having to suddenly rush to the emergency room and we ended up heading home very late on Friday night – looking back on our photos, I feel like we actually did SO MUCH within our one full day in Hyannis. We liked it a lot and plan on making it up there soon to fully experience it but for now these memories will have to do 🙂

We stayed at the adorable Hyannis Harbor Hotel – which was, coincidentally, right on the harbor!

We stumbled upon a small beach with the most gorgeous blue water! You don’t see water like this at the Jersey Shore!

we spent a day by the pool – and I finally got a pool day in! It was my first, last and only pool day of the summer 🙁

  

It was a wonderful day and a half away and I’m glad we did it 🙂 And thankfully our Grandma is okay and in much better health now than before! Now to plan our trip back!
