There’s something magical about New York City in the spring — the soft light filtering through the trees, the quiet calm before the city fully wakes up, and the feeling that every corner is coming back to life again. Elizabeth and Dan’s morning in Central Park felt exactly like that: romantic, joyful, and effortlessly beautiful.

We started our morning at Bethesda Fountain, one of the most iconic and timeless spots in Central Park. Elizabeth and Dan settled into the moment so naturally together — laughing between quiet conversations, wrapped up in each other while the city slowly came alive around them. As a cake artist, Elizabeth decided to have some fun with their engagement session and actually created and brought along a beautiful save-the-date cake, adding such a unique and meaningful touch to their photos!!

From Bethesda Fountain, we wandered over to Bow Bridge while the park still held onto that soft morning quiet. The bridge looked stunning, framed by fresh spring greens and the shimmer of the lake below. Elizabeth and Dan moved together so effortlessly… some of the sweetest moments came from simply letting them walk, talk, and enjoy the morning together.

We then made our way toward the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the final part of the session and it’s a location I have been dying to photograph a couple at. I’ve been photographing couples for 14 years but this was my first time being in front of the beautiful MET! The grand steps and classic architecture added the perfect New York touch to the gallery of images. Between the elegance of the museum, the softness of the spring morning, and the personal details they brought into the day, the entire session felt timeless.

Elizabeth and Dan’s session was a reminder that the most meaningful photos often come from simply slowing down and enjoying the moment together. A beautiful spring morning, Central Park waking up around them, a handmade cake, and two people completely in love — it truly couldn’t have been more perfect! Enjoy my favorites from their engagement session!!
