Morning engagement sessions are seriously underrated and I hope Marissa and Zach’s engagement photos convince people that sometimes, it’s worth waking up for! I have a couple fun facts to throw at you. First fun fact – we were actually supposed to take these photos the night before! Second fun fact – Marissa and Zach actually live in Massachusetts and drove down for their engagement session that night and it ended up being rained out! Third fun fact – the next morning would be the ONLY time would work for us before they had to drive back home and we then had to figure out a brand new plan! BUT the weather decided to cooperate for us! And not just cooperate but give us the BEST weather! Not too humid, SO sunny and a little breezy. We met up nice and early and NO ONE was at the gardens which made it even better!! It felt like we had the entire location to ourselves and it was wonderful knowing people weren’t watching them the whole time (something that can definitely make an already awkward idea even MORE awkward for couples!)

Luckily for me, Marissa and Zach are so incredibly photogenic together! It was so fun to see them start nervous but very quickly ease into the session and get comfortable having their photo taken (champagne at 9am in the morning helped I’m sure! lol) These two have been together for a few years – they met in college and dated throughout college. They didn’t think much of things when they did long distance for two years while Marissa went to grad school and Zach worked in Massachusetts. But of course… COVID happened and kept them doing long distance for a little bit longer. Once they were able to be together in the summer of 2021, it all happened for them! They moved in together and one year later were engaged! And now, one year from now, they will be getting married!! I’m so excited to watch their story continue to unfold and can’t wait to capture their wedding day for them next July!! For now, enjoy my favorites from their engagement session 🙂
