I am so excited to be sharing Maggie & Matt’s engagement session with you today! From the moment I met with them, I instantly felt connected to them! They found me through Maggie’s cousin’s wedding that I photographed – 7 years ago!! But I loved getting to know them and hear all about their wedding plans for next year! They met while attending the same university – and it’s actually where they’ll be getting married!! That’s what I love so much about these two… their love story just means so much to them!
Their love story is actually why we went to New York City for their engagement session! It’s a part of their story together. Their first date was at The Strand bookstore and ended in Washington Square Park. And fun fact – Washington Square Park is where Matt proposed to Maggie! And BONUS fun fact! On our way from the park to the bookstore for their photos we passed the gelato shop they stopped at on their date too! It was all meant to be and meant to be photographed! lol I love that their engagement session is now tied into their history together and can now provide concrete memories for them in the places they hold so dear to their hearts!
I’m not going to lie… the photos at The Strand might be my favorite! I LOVE a unique spot for sessions and an iconic bookstore in New York City was just an amazing location to be at! These two are avid readers and book lovers and knew they wanted photos, not just outside but inside the bookstore. And honestly, isn’t it kind of romantic sneaking kisses surrounded by towering book shelves?? Maybe it’s just me but I think so! lol I am just SO in love with these two and their photos and can’t wait to see them again next summer!! We had so much fun at their engagement session, I can’t even imagine how fun the wedding day will be!! Enjoy my favorites!!
