I LOVE Lisa & Anthony’s engagement session so much because it’s like we split it into two parts! It was a busy, beautiful night in Asbury Park and we found ourselves at The Black Swan which ended up being the best bar we could’ve been at! The staff there was excellent and had no problem with us taking photos – they even let us use one of their event spaces for photos and that was amazing! Lisa and Anthony sipped on their cocktails and it was like no one else was in that bar! They only had eyes for each other 😉

We have been scheduling and rescheduling their session because we seriously wanted a BEAUTIFUL sunset for their photos on the beach! Any cloudy day they reserved, we decided to push it back! We ended up hanging out a while at the bar that by the time we left to go to the beach, the sun was about to set 20 minutes later! I was suddenly super nervous that the moment we had anticipated for so long was about to be lost. BUT we got to the beach with just enough time to take AMAZING photos of the two of them and still have plenty of sunlight and the prettiest sky!

Lisa and Anthony told me they were a little nervous about photos since they’ve never taken photos like this before. But they completely blew me away with how natural they were! I mean, taking engagement photos isn’t easy but taking photos in a BAR is NOT easy and these two just effortlessly nailed it! I swear the minute we started, they just zoned in on each other and tuned the rest of the world out. It was so great watching them together and I seriously can’t wait to see them on their wedding day – those photos are going to be amazing!!
