I feel like I have been waiting for this day for 5 years! I met Stephanie 5 years ago when she came along for her sister, Tiffany’s sister’s engagement session! I photographed Tiffany & Kenny’s wedding day 4 years ago and I remember them both joking that one day I’ll photograph Stephanie’s wedding. I only hoped they were telling the truth – Stephanie wasn’t even engaged to Joey yet! I became friends with Stephanie through Instagram and by the time she and Joey DID get engaged in 2020, it was like I was congratulating a friend from high school! THEN she reached out to me DAYS after getting engaged – before she had even booked a venue – and it was just the biggest honor of my life! You can NOT even imagine the joy and happiness I felt as their photographer watching them become husband and wife this past weekend. We had talked about this day for two years! To see it all come together so perfectly and beautifully mean the world to me!
Stephanie & Joey had been planning this wedding day for 2 years, after being together for 7 years, and it was all so beautiful. I LOVE the sage green accents everywhere, the natural bouquets, and I LOVE the light grey suits Joey and his groomsmen wore! Their venue really was a highlight of the day! They toured the Refinery at Perona Farms when it was still under construction but they saw the vision and knew this was the venue and what a choice it was! I was blown away by it all – the gorgeous spaces, tall ceilings, fantastic food, and service. The atrium was the most beautiful space for an outdoor ceremony and luckily we had FANTASTIC weather all day long! It was a little hot but hey, it wasn’t raining! 😉
Joey’s face lit up when he saw Stephanie behind him for their first look. They privately shared their vows to each other in the Pines and it’s always so beautiful witnessing a moment like that in private. And it was so fun watching Joey’s face light up all over again when Stephanie walked down the aisle towards him. Their ceremony was short and sweet and they sealed the ceremony with not one but two kisses and a dip 😉 But we really have to talk about their reception which was maybe the sickest reception ever! Stephanie works as a bartender on the weekends, it’s how Joey and her met! So I KNEW going into this wedding that what really mattered to them was a FUN reception but my god, this was fuuunnnn!! They had glow sticks, pool toys and inflatables and even a dancing robot! The dance floor NEVER emptied! Even my calves hurt the next day from dancing all night long! lol And at the end of the night, we ended it all with a fun sparkler exit! I can not believe this day is over!! It was so fun and I am SO excited to share my favorites today!! Congratulations Stephanie and Joey on a beautiful and amazing start to your marriage!! Wishing you nothing but the best!! Love you guys!!
