Lindsay & Tyler had the spring wedding day that couples only DREAM of! It’s so rare to have such a sunny, warm wedding day in April – with not a cloud in sight! It was picture perfect and was only one of the elements that made this day the amazing day it was. Lindsay & Tyler have been together for over 6 years and have been counting down the days to get here. They met while Lindsay was working at the local bowling alley. Tyler went over and asked for her number, she wrote it down on a receipt and the rest is history. He surprised Lindsay the morning of their wedding when she opened the card from him and saw that after all this time, he still had that receipt with her number!
They decided not to do a first look so the anticipation built all day long for them! They had fun taking portraits with their bridal party and family beforehand but anytime they stopped for a second to think about what was coming, the butterflies came back! They avoided each other all morning long and were anxious to FINALLY see each other. As the music played and Lindsay walked down the long hill to the ceremony site with her parents, Tyler held his head down. He held back the tears as he anxiously awaited for her to come closer until he could finally see her and the moment he finally did – I think it was worth it! Ever since she contacted me to photograph her wedding day, Lindsay described this day as a princess fairytale come to life! And when she put on her gorgeous dress, we were all in awe of her beauty. Her father and bridesmaids all cried when they each had their first looks with her. I mean, she looked INCREDIBLE!! With the crown on her head, she really did look like a princess! And when Tyler’s jaw dropped and eyes filled with tears at the sight of her at the end of the aisle, I knew Lindsay had the dream moment she’s waited all this time for 🙂
They exchanged their vows and rings in front of their guests that traveled from all over to see them finally become husband and wife! As we walked the grounds of the Ashford Estate after their ceremony for their photos together, it seemed every spot we picked just worked perfectly for photos. This venue is MADE for a couple that wants a storybook wedding day and that’s exactly what it was for them. EVERY spot was better than the next for their photos and I swear if the reception wasn’t about to start, I would have photographed them all night long!
We made our way to the ballroom for their reception and my god what a PARTY!! The dance floor INSTANTLY filled up after the dances and toasts wrapped up and it NEVER emptied. These guests came to DANCE!! This day from beginning to end was not only beautiful but SO fun and I didn’t want it to end! SO excited to share it all with you today! Lindsay & Tyler, congratulations on such an amazing wedding day!! Wishing you two nothing but the absolute best and happiest future!!
