It’s February 1st – HAPPY NEW MONTH!! I’m SO excited for the month ahead! It’s a short month first of all, which is great because we’re in the middle of winter and anything to hurry this season along would be great. The Superbowl is on Sunday (WHOO! Wings and funny commercials!), Valentines Day, the completion of our KITCHEN is happening this month (thank the LORD!) and the best part – our first two weddings of 2017 are this month and they are back to back! lol It’s going to be a fun month that I’m sure will FLY by! For now, here’s this weeks weekly intermission!

.| WATCHING… |. Jose & I have gotten into a really good groove of watching movies lately – and not just any movies but NEW movies, movies we HAVEN’T seen. lol That’s huge for us! Last week we watched La la land, The Hateful Eight & The Nice Guys (I bet you don’t even know what this movie is but watch it and thank me later!)… we started to watch Bad Moms but shut that off after a half hour because it was AWFUL. We didn’t laugh once and I know SOMETHING within that half hour was “supposed” to be funny but it was not at all. I now find myself judging every person I know that said they saw that movie and liked it lol. Sorry!!

.| WORKING ON… |. The LAST wedding of 2016!! I’ve made it my goal to get our last wedding of 2016, which took place on New Year’s Eve, done before our first wedding of 2017. That wedding is in 2 weeks but I’m THIS close to being done and that’s going to feel SO good to at least have 2 weeks of NO editing!! 🙂 Wish me luck in hopefully getting it done before this weekend because that would be AMAZING!!

.| LOVING… |. I suddenly have a weird obsession with Quesadillas! It started around my birthday in November when went out to dinner and I just had a craving for them. Since then, the craving has not vanished. I am suddenly in LOVE with quesadilla’s and want them all the time! To make matters worse, for Christmas Jose got a quesadilla maker as white elephant gift. I was THRILLED because it meant I could have quesadilla’s at home whenever I want! lol and I do! I am constantly running out of tortillas and am just totally addicted to them. I don’t know why!! lol I don’t know where this came from and I’m honestly trying NOT to have them every single day lol it’s so strange but I am LOVING quesadilla’s and I don’t see this stopping anytime soon!

.| LISTENING TO… |. Thanks to watching La La Land, I am now obsessed with that soundtrack and all the songs in it. I find myself singing or humming it all day long and I’ve listened to the entire soundtrack a bunch of times already! I’m secretly praying the success of this movie will make MORE original musicals come out because that needs to happen. STOP remaking old movies and use FRESH and NEW ideas, Hollywood!!

.| LOOKING FORWARD TO… |. Being DONE with our kitchen! My god what a pain in the ASS this has turned out to be. I don’t ever like to talk about the things that upset me because talking about them makes me even MORE upset but this is something I’m REALLY looking forward to lol. Our cabinets were installed and those turned out great! The kitchen was painted and that’s been the BEST part. The absolute WORST part has been dealing with the appliances. What a headache that has been. We ordered our stainless steel appliances and that was the easy part… it was getting them to fit in through doorways and making sure all the fixtures in our house properly worked to get the appliances up and running were okay and then, two of them get sent DENTED. Really??? It’s been the worst part. We STILL have the backsplash and lighting to do and I’m terrified to see what may go wrong with those because I just CAN’T deal with any more headaches. I’m so over redoing this kitchen and am looking forward to the day it’s all done. And when it is, I’ll be sure to share with you all the pictures of our completed kitchen 🙂
