I’ve honestly never been to Staten Island before Courtney & Hector’s engagement session – does that make me a weirdo? lol I’ve only ever driven through it to get to Brooklyn so I honestly had no idea what to expect when I pulled up the location they chose for their engagement session. After driving through the urban city of Staten Island for a bit suddenly there were a ton of trees and I knew I was heading in the right direction. Snug Harbor is a GEM inside the city, just like Central Park is to Manhattan – it was absolutely gorgeous inside! There is so much to see and do, I made a mental note to myself to come back and explore on my a day off 😉 But it was SO fun exploring it and getting lost in it with Courtney & Hector! There were so many parts to the the gardens, each more beautiful then the next. Every time we turned the corner, I found a new spot for photos! It’s always so fun photographing my couples in a new location and this was definitely one of my favorites!

After coming to Snug Harbor themselves, Courtney & Hector knew it would be the perfect location for their engagement session. It’s lush with flowers and plants everywhere, unique archicture and generally quiet. Of course the day we came there was a huge Polish festival happening but we made the best out of it and it still turned out beautifully! And these two know how to end an engagement session on the right note – with ICE CREAM! The perfect way to wrap up an engagement session on a hot summer day 🙂 Courtney & Hector are getting married in less than 2 months and so most of our chit chat was all about their wedding! It’s SO close and the excitement is building more and more. The more we talked about all their little details, from what their adorable daughter will be wearing to Courtney’s wedding day shoes (Kate Spade, of course!) – the more I could envision how beautiful it was all going to be and it got me so excited for their wedding say to finally get here!

Congratulations Courtney & Hector!! I loved spending the evening together, catching up, and hearing all the wedding plans!! Your day is going to be AMAZING!!

Enjoy a few of my favorite images from our time together!
