Melissa & Chris spent their entire engagement planning their wedding abroad from their home in London, England – a task I would imagine is not the easiest! When they booked me back in January, they knew they wouldn’t make to America until the week before their wedding day this June. Their schedule was going to be TIGHT. So you could imagine how delighted I was when they had no problem squeezing in an engagement session with me the week before their wedding day! Engagement sessions are complimentary to all my #tepbrides and I would have hated them to miss out on not only that but getting to know me and how I shoot so I was SO thankful to them cutting in some time during their crazy busy wedding week for their session! With only arriving the week before their wedding day, they had a TON to get done… but for an hour and a half they were able to hug each other, kiss each other, walk the streets of Hoboken with me and let it all sink in. They were about to become husband and wife!! I’m pretty sure this engagement session only a few days before their wedding day was just what they needed 🙂

Melissa & Chris have known each other for over 10 years! They had a long-distance relationship for a bit while Chris lived in London and Melissa was in Hoboken. There were many times Chris would come over to visit Melissa and they’d spend their days in her adorable town so when it came to planning their wedding day, they brought it back to where it all began for them 🙂 And with their engagement session, why not have it be in the same town that there love grew in? It’s funny how so many of the couples I photograph in Hoboken have the same story. I mean, even Jose and I’s love story started in Hoboken! It’s a magical little city filled with the best restaurants, bars, a gorgeous train station and views of Manhattan. ANY spot in Hoboken is romantic and we took full advantage of all it had to offer! The best part was we met up bright and early so there was literally NO ONE else in Hoboken! We had the pier all to ourselves, which is SO rare in a busy city like this. It was just the best! I swear I NEVER get tired of just “being” in Hoboken and even more so with sweet couples like Melissa and Chris.
