There are several things you might notice while scrolling through Kayla & Aaron’s blog post today. There are a LOT of photos. I will confess, we all went a little snap happy at this wedding and this is the most photographed wedding we’ve ever shot. Granted there were three of us… Jose AND Laura, my wonderful occasional second shooter joined us for this wedding and made us a trio! And between three of us, we took a LOT of photos so I apologize for all the scrolling you will do but I don’t think you’ll mind 🙂 This wedding is STUNNING. Absolutely stunning. Kayla & Aaron are SO adorable together and honestly, one of the easiest couples I’ve ever photographed. They were SO excited that there were absolutely no nerves at all. Not one. They knew this is what their entire relationship, since they were 16, has been leading to this moment. Their First Look was so fun to be present for because there were no tears but the BIGGEST smiles of joy! Just pure happiness that their day was finally here.
Kayla & Aaron’s wedding day was literally picture perfect. A HUGE part of what made this possible is their incredible venue, Rock Island Lake Club. The bridal suite was not only HUGE but the amount of light that came in made it perfect to capture all of their details and Kayla slipping into her gown. Those photos are some of my favorites of the entire day. So beautiful! The picturesque lake on their property was even better, for their First Look and Portraits and even behind them as they were pronounced husband and wife. It was the perfect backdrop as their filled their unity tree with dirt, along with their parents, to bring their families together and said their sweet hand written vows to each other. Loved it all!
The other thing you might notice in this blog post is there are a LOT of familiar faces and that just makes me so happy 🙂 This wedding was one of the BEST times I’ve had a wedding this year because SO many of my Brides were in one place! FOUR of my brides were at this wedding – one past, one present and TWO getting married in 2016. My 2014 Bride Kristin was not only Kayla’s maid of honor but the officiant and did such a great job of making their ceremony so much more special and unique 🙂 It was so much fun spending the day with all of them and it got us SO excited for next years weddings. The third thing you will notice is there are WAY more reception shots than usual but that’s because this dance floor NEVER let up. People were dancing non stop and not only that but they were dancing good. There are way too many awesome reception photos for me not to share (& be sure to listen to Justin Bieber “Where are U Now” & “Shout!” while scrolling through them. Those were the songs of the night!) and at the end of the night, we didn’t want to leave. In fact, we were literally the last people to leave Rock Island because we spent so much time saying goodbye to everyone. I’m so happy for these two and the future that awaits them as husband and wife and can’t wait to celebrate it by reliving their wedding day today!
Kayla & Aaron – thank you for giving us the tremendous honor of capturing your amazing wedding day!! We love you both and wish you endless years of happiness, love and laughter together! Enjoy your photos! 🙂 Â
