If you were to ask Yuli & Alex what they were most looking forward to on their wedding day, I don’t think it’d be the first dance or seeing all their guests have a great time. It would be what they came to do. To FINALLY be married. These two met while they were in high school and have been together for nine and a half years! In the short time that I have known they have been through so much together – moving twice, buying a house, Yuli graduating college with her Masters. What go-getters! These two lead busy, productive lives together and are so inspiring as a couple. It seemed to me that all those milestones were leading up to the biggest and most important one for them… the day they would finally become Husband and Wife! And to think, WHILE they were doing all of that they were planning a wedding!  They’re also super smart because they hired some amazing creatives to pull their day together beautifully for them, so they could fully enjoy their day!

Let’s talk about all of the lovely details. Oh swoon, the details!! It felt like there was a wonderful surprise around every corner throughout the day and it was all put together beautifully by Paige from Gilded Lily Events and her team. From the stunning program sign when you entered their breathtaking church to the AWESOME chandeliers that hung during cocktail hour. From the way the table cards were displayed, written in beautiful calligraphy by Mary Kate Moon (seriously. why can’t I have that gorgeous handwriting!?) to their one-of-a-kind Photo Booth put together by Gina Paola Design. Even the way the masks were displayed for their La Hora Loca took my breath away! What’s a La Hora Loca you ask? It’s also known as “Crazy Hour” and for one hour the music is non stop, the dance floor is packed and everyone is celebrating the beautiful couple… while wearing masquerade masks 🙂 This was SO fun to not only photograph but watch! It all came together beautifully and provided such a unique experience for their guests. We absolutely loved it all!

The true highlight of their wedding day was love. Not just the love they have for each other but the love their friends and families have for them. When we showed up to the church, you should have seen how excited their two ring bearers and four flower girls were to see them! And it was SO adorable to see the flower girls starting at Yuli in amazement. What a sight she was! Not only that but the sweetest toasts from their Maid of Honor, Best Man (seriously. He had me in tears!) and Yuli’s father. Than a surprise speech from Yuli’s younger sister, wishing her sister a happy marriage and sharing with us all how much she looks up to her big sister. So sweet! And the moment that melted my heart… when Yuli’s mom surprised her with a special dance for just the two of them! Of course their amazing photo booth was busy all night, shots were being taken in celebration of the happy couple, and La Hora Loca was seriously LOCA! It was such a blast and honor to photograph Yuli & Alex’s wedding day for them and I’m so happy to share a few of my favorite images from their big day today!
