Here is one thing I absolutely love about weddings… no two wedding days are EVER alike. Claudia & Ken’s is the first of it’s kind I’ve ever had the privilege to shoot. It was a small and intimate ceremony with only their 25 closest family and friends there, it was a short wedding day and yet it wasn’t any less beautiful than a wedding we would have shot with a 150 guests at a Country Club. The excitement that surrounded their day was just as high as anyone else’s, if not more, because the people that surrounded them were the ones they loved most and their love is just that great. Jose and I met with Ken first at Prospect Park in Brooklyn and though it was a COLD November Saturday, the sun was still shining and we were all so excited to get the day started! A few minutes later Claudia joined us and I walked with her to have her First Look with Ken. The moment we turned into the park and she saw his back, she instantly started to tear up and I did too! It might have been a intimate and short wedding day, but their was no shortage of love… and my heart just BURST when they turned and saw each other for the first time! We had the BEST time taking their photos, bridal party and family photos in Prospect Park. The park was PACKED with people and yet it still felt like we had it all to ourselves! And Claudia & Ken looked GORGEOUS in their simplicity and I loved it! Notice there are no bouquets or boutonnieres and they still look amazing! When we arrived at Scottaditos for their ceremony and dinner party, that’s when it felt real! The wine cellar was lit beautifully with candlelight, personalized favors sat at every place setting and Claudia & Ken were married with their friends and family surrounding them (and at one point, not one dry eye in the house!) My favorite moment? Watching them face-time with their grandparents that couldn’t be with them that day! Just the CUTEST! It was the shortest amount of time Jose and I were at a wedding all year (only 4 hours!) and yet it flew by and I was so sad to see it come to an end but I really can’t be more happy for them! Claudia & Ken – your wedding day was just so wonderful and perfect on every level. I hope you had the BEST DAY EVER and enjoy these photos to relive for the rest of your lives together!! We wish you both nothing but the best 🙂
