In September Jose and I made our annual trip down to Orlando, Florida to visit Disney World. This time, we were even MORE excited to get to Orlando because there was something new that we hadn’t seen yet. That’s so rare for us since we go EVER year – new attractions are not frequent. But THIS was huge… it was a whole new section of Harry Potter at Universal Studios! If you don’t like Harry Potter then I apologize for this post and should tell you that you are SERIOUSLY missing out on some amazing stuff. And if you ARE into Harry Potter, get down to Orlando IMMEDIATELY! We have been to Universal Studios before and enjoyed the Harry Potter section in Islands of Adventure, themed after Hogsmeade and Hogwarts Castle, but this section was themed after London (or Harry Potter’s London) and Diagon Alley! It was BREATHTAKING & just incredible. I totally cried rounding the corner and looking down Diagon Alley (seriously, Jose has it on video! But I won’t share that here lol) I took a TON of photos and they really don’t do it justice. Harry Potter fans, this really is a must-do. Nothing about it is disappointing or underwhelming, it is 100% WORTH IT! 😉 Enjoy some of my photos of it all!
12 Grimmauld Place was one of the first things you see before going into the Diagon Alley and as we admired the building, Creature popped his head out!! I died! lol
You walked “through the bricks” and stared straight down at Diagon Alley and what a sight it was!
Everything is themed and thought out to a T…
THE LEAKY CAULDRON!!
Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes was just UNBELIEVABLE. EXACTLY like in the movies, outside and in!
“I WILL… HAVE… ORDER!”
YES! THE DRAGON BLEW FIRE AS IT SAT ONTOP OF GRINGOTTS!!
After walking around Diagon Alley, we made our way to Kings Cross to ride the Hogwarts Express!
Platform 9 3/4… I just stood there and soaked it all in.
Riding the train to Hogsmeade was my favorite part, I think. Oh my GOD! The things we saw and experienced. DEMENTORS came aboard! It was just perfection.
Off the Hogwarts Express and we were in Hogsmeade!
Hogsmeade is just as amazing as Diagon Alley… you can visit Honeydukes, The Three Broomsticks and even have your wand pick you at Olivanders!
The sight of Hogwarts Castle will forever give me chills!
Pumpkin Juice!! And yes, they have Butterbeer!
