If Kayla happens to look familiar it’s because she is the sister of my gorgeous #tepbride from earlier this year, Kristin! That’s not to say Kayla isn’t gorgeous too because um, CLEARLY SHE IS! AND Ladies, they have a brother! 😉 Anyway… when Kristin contacted me saying her sister was getting married next year and wanted to see if I was available, I can’t even tell you how quickly I checked my calendar to make sure I was! And I was free! WHOO! This was such a fun engagement session because you always think in your head, “oh they are sisters! It’s going to be like shooting with Kristin again!” but of course it isn’t. Kayla is her own wonderful person and her and Aaron are just the sweetest together. High school sweethearts, both a young couple working retail jobs (something I always appreciate because hey! that was me!) and saving up for their sure to be beautiful wedding day next year. Within two emails exchanged between her and I, Kayla confessed they wanted to book their engagement session as quickly as possible to catch the fall foliage before it dissapeared and we made it happen! They decided on Allaire State Park and their session was SO perfect, in every aspect possible. Perfect weather, great outfits and literally NO ONE around… it was like we had Allaire State Park all to ourselves! Of course Aaron let me know he was a little nervous about this shoot but PSSH! As you will see, those nerves went away REAL quick. Not only did Kayla rock it but Aaron did too! These pictures are just SO great, I have way too many favorites. And don’t even get me started on their dogs, Cody & Bailey! They came and joined us towards the end of their session for some “family photos” and just WAIT until you see those pictures. These dogs were just picture perfect! They reminded me SO MUCH of our dogs too which was even more fun for me 🙂 I know what it’s like to be a doggy mama that’s a teeny bit embarrassed by your dog and his crazy behavior but I couldn’t help but fall in love with these dogs! This session really was SO effortless and maybe it’s just me but there was a strong bond between photographer and couple made this day and for that – I LOVE this session so much 🙂 Can NOT wait for you all to see their photos, share in their engagement excitement and fall in love with this insanely good looking couple. And just think, this is only the engagement session! It is only going to get BETTER! 🙂 Ok enough rambling… let’s see these photos!!
You guys, this was within the first 10 minutes of our session. I knew right away this was going to be a good one!
LOVE IT! Just love it all!
That’s right… Kayla’s engagement ring has ROSE GOLD on it! WHAAATTT!?? And Aaron picked it out all by himself! The man has EXCELLENT taste!
So sweet! SO MANY FAVORITES!!
Whoo! Kayla working that model face!
Really?? You two made this session just so easy for me!
We found this PERFECT leaf and just had to keep it for pictures… Kayla loved it so much, she took it home 🙂
Here they are! Cody (on the left) and Bailey!! Obviously very curious about the woman behind the camera…
This belongs in a FRAME! I have Kayla’s parents, Donna and Joe, to thank for making this part of our session happen and be SO easy – not only did they bring the dogs and keep them under control but helped get their attention to look at my camera! 🙂
What cuties!!
And then this magic happened!!
The cutest little family portrait I’ve ever taken! lol
LOVE the dogs faces here lol too too funny!
Had to sneak them away for a few more photos of just the two of them. I think it was worth it 🙂
Kayla, you are STUNNING! You are going to be a BEAUTIFUL bride!
YAY!! Be sure to leave Kayla and Aaron (and Cody! And Bailey!!) some love in the comments below 🙂
