Vacations are SO GOOD for the soul and this vacation could not have come at a better time for Jose and I. We were dying for this vacation to come and just have a week off to relax, enjoy ourselves and have fun. On our last day at Disney as we waited for our flight and had a few beers at Disney’s Boardwalk… we couldn’t believe how fast the week went! We just wanted to extend our vacation one more week and never leave Disney. Something about this last time definitely made us fall in love with Disney World a bit more. Before we left for this vacation we decided this was going to be a different trip than what we’ve done before! (Hello! We visited Disney World TWICE last year! Things can get old real quick) We wanted it to feel fresh and new and unlike all the other times we visited so there were several things we did to make sure this happened… we went to the parks less (typically we visit the parks 6 times in a week but this time we only did 4!), we ate at all new places in every park, we went to the Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom (something we never did before!) and we gave ourselves two days off to just relax with no schedule, do what we wanted to do and rest our bodies. Well we stuck to our Different Disney plan and ended up LOVING it this time. Something that I did different? I put the DSLR down a lot and just enjoyed myself, instead of pulling my huge camera out to take pictures. I brought it along every day but every time I went to take a picture it felt exhausting… so I decided to not go too crazy with my DSLR photos and just take iPhone pics. Well, I have like over 200 photos on my iPhone now thanks to that idea! I took photos of EVERYTHING!! lol So I’m sharing those pictures today 🙂 Don’t worry I still have some great DSLR photos to share so everything won’t be so dark and possibly blurry! But I do love these iPhone pics and instead of crowding my Instagram with all of these I decided to just share them here in one place.

Let’s relive our wonderful Different Disney trip shall we? 🙂

Our first day we landed and went right to Animal Kingdom! Jose captured the tiniest lizard (he’s a pro at catching and releasing lizards!) and we saw the most beautiful sunset that first night! Plus I met one of my favorite cast members in the lobby of our hotel! Speaking of our hotel, it’s officially our new favorite Disney Hotel! We still have so many to stay at but don’t know who can top the Boardwalk Inn! We HIGHLY recommend this hotel 🙂

Our second day we spent at EPCOT! It’s one of our favorite parks… mostly because of World Showcase and the INSANE rides that are in Futureworld. We enjoyed this day with our friends that live in Florida which make it even more fun 🙂

World Showcase is so charming. You can visit all these miniature versions of countries and feel like you are really experiencing them (like Sorbet in France or Pretzels in Germany!)

We spent Monday at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure… now THIS is where I went DSLR crazy with all the pictures of Diagon Alley in the Harry Potter section of Universal Studios. I LOOOOOVVVEE Harry Potter so I was straight geeking out here. Also I’m newly into The Simpsons (LOVE the simpsons!) so I was geeking out in Springfield too! And that insane Nacho plate!? It was so good!

We spent our Tuesday at Hollywood Studios in the morning… and mornings at our hotel are so wonderful!

2014-10-01_0079

Hollywood Studios is typically one of our least favorite parks but this time we did EVERYTHING… and we ended up LOVING this park that day! We learned how to draw Eeyore at Animation Academy (this is Jose’s favorite thing to do here! He was in heaven!)

We ate at Mama Melrose’s at Hollywood Studios and look at those food plates… DELICIOUS!! We loved it!

Tuesday night we went to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom!

2014-10-01_0082

Magic Kingdom was decked out for Halloween and looked AMAZING!! These awful photos don’t do it justice lol

2014-10-01_0083

One thing I wanted to try was the Mac N Cheese at The Friar’s Nook… I LOVE Mac n Cheese (but this one was just ok!) Check out Jose’s hot dog covered in Mac N cheese lol

2014-10-01_0084

We spent TWO HOURS in line to meet Jack & Sally from one of my FAVORITE movies ever, The Nightmare Before Christmas! It was worth the wait for me 🙂 Jose? Ehh he might say different lol AND I met one of my favorite Disney Villains, Doctor Facilier! OH! And the Fireworks show at the Halloween Party is AMAZING!!!

2014-10-01_0085

We had so much fun at the Halloween Party. Main Street was all lit in spooky colors and blasting Halloween music, we had a blast riding our favorite rides with absolutely no lines… it’s our favorite party at Magic Kingdom for sure 🙂

2014-10-01_0086

Nighttime at Disney is the best… we ordered the yummiest Pizza on the Boardwalk of our hotel (yes! Boardwalk Inn has it’s own Boardwalk! It felt like we never left Jersey!), did all our shopping at World of Disney at Downtown Disney and even our hotel was pretty at night 🙂

2014-10-01_0087

Wednesday was our leisure day… we spent it by the pool, relaxing in our room and trying out Beaches and Cream! It’s at the Beach Club Resort which was a 10 minute walk from our hotel. And I LOVED it! The desserts there are HUGE! Reminded me of Serendipity in NYC… It was so yummy but so big! And you can play music off the juke box for free! lol I recommend this place 🙂

2014-10-01_0088

Thursday was our day at MAGIC KINGDOM!! It was hot as HELL this day so I was really excited to get on Splash Mountain and get SOAKED!! It felt so good lol

2014-10-01_0089

We went to eat breakfast at 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian Hotel and it was SO FUN!! Look at all the characters we met there!! It was a blast 🙂

2014-10-01_0090

It was a HOT day and while sitting out waiting for the parade for an HOUR.. than watching the parade… I felt so dizzy and was about to faint! It was so terrible to feel like that at the most magical place on earth (seriously! it’s just wrong!) so the rest of our day at Magic Kingdom was slow and we moved at a slow pace but I loved it 🙂 It was nice to experience Magic Kingdom at a slow pace and discover things I never did before. And Jose was just the best! He took great care of me 🙂

2014-10-01_0091

Even while feeling weak… I still took pictures lol!

2014-10-01_0092

Our last day we spent roaming around our hotel and the Yacht Club hotel, eating lunch by the pool than drinking craft beers at Big River Grille & Brewing Works for HOURS before our flight! It was the only way to pass time lol and it was so fun! It was great beer! 🙂

2014-10-01_0093

It’s so fun to look back at our vacation through these photos but I miss it already! Don’t worry… we are busy planning our next trip as we speak! lol 🙂
