Natalie described their wedding style to me very early on and I couldn’t help but think at the end of the night that they achieved exactly that. As she described it, it was “Simple, Classic, Elegant yet with a Twist… just like us”. Natalie & George radiated throughout their wedding day… Simple centerpieces, classic colors, elegant details and with a twist… a groom in a bold blue tuxedo with a black lapel! George asked me if I had ever seen any other grooms wear a tux like that and I said “Nope! You win for boldest groom ever!”  I would catch Jose with this sudden HUGE grin on his face as I took their pictures and would ask him “What are you smiling about??” And he would say “George! That tux is AWESOME!” He did look awesome and he rocked it! Then there was his beautiful bride who warned me for months, claiming she looks dorky in photos and is not photogenic at all. Um, Natalie! I beg to differ! She looked stunning, before she even had any makeup on… and continued to radiate throughout the day.
The day was incredibly romantic and emotional for them both. Natalie fully converted to Judaism only two weeks before their wedding day but she embraced her new religion beautifully. I love the traditions of their faith because the number one priority of those meaningful traditions is putting each other first before everything. Â The most emotional part of it all was Natalie had just lost her father to a sudden heart attack a year ago and the feeling, knowing her father wouldn’t be there for her wedding day, was always there. I told Natalie I knew exactly how she felt since I lost my father too before my wedding.. and every time her father was mentioned in anyway on her wedding day, not only was Natalie shedding tears, but I was too. It was a happy but bittersweet occasion and George was the best husband a girl could ask for, always holding her hand and giving her support when she needed it.
Like all my other couples, I was so sad to see their wedding day end and not being planning everything along with her. I grow so attached to my couples and hate to not talk to them every week leading up to their wedding. But I know I have a friendship in Natalie and George and am SO happy for them and the love they’ve found in each other.
