The location of an Engagement Session tells me instantly so much about my couples. When Alyssa & Terry said they wanted theirs by water, it gave me an idea of who they were as a couple… fun, adventurous, loves anything having to do with the outdoors. We met up at the beautiful Hedden County Park in Dover on a HOT June evening. When I mentioned I was possibly thinking of getting some shots of them in a lovely little stream I’d come across, they instantly said OF COURSE! WE’LL DO IT! They are such troopers up for anything… especially getting a great photo! It’s funny because they were pretty nervous, as most people are, before we started but a few minutes in I could see the nerves slowly being pushed aside. Then Of course once we brought out their dogs, Tuck & Dakota, everything was much easier and more fun. Dogs INSTANTLY release any nerves people have because they quickly just make you comfortable and these two were the CUTEST. So calm and happy to be outside with such smiley faces on! And so photogenic! They were happily posing for me, looking at my camera and I’m so happy we got a few great “family portraits” of the four of them. To make things personal and more unique, they wore their Jerseys from when they placed Lacrosse and Soccer (and they still fit them! How impressive is that?!)

Alyssa and Terry, I had so much fun hanging out with you at your Engagement Session (and tuck and dakota too!) Hope you LOVE your photos & can’t wait for your wedding day in a few short weeks – I know it is going to be a blast!! 🙂
