Happy Wednesday!

I am really excited to introduce Weekly Intermission, a weekly personal “write-up” here on the blog. A nice little post to write up during the week – to let you get to know ME on a more personal level, to keep track of how things are going in my life in this online diary of mine and share what I’m up to in the middle of shooting and editing weddings. I thought this would be something really fun to start doing as it gets warmer out because I won’t be holed up in the house as much as I was this winter! [damn you blizzards!] and let’s face it, who doesn’t like to get an insight into what other people are doing and thinking? Isn’t that why we are all obsessed with social media in the first place? So here we go!

.| WATCHING… |. My husband and I have a new favorite show to watch on Sunday nights and it’s Silicon Valley on HBO. This show is right up my alley because I am all about half-hour long comedies with NO commercials (that’s why Sex and the City and Entourage are my favorites.) This show is so great and geeky, about smart nerds trying to run the start up of an APP in Silicon Valley. It’s just so smart and funny and Erlich is by far one of the best TV characters on TV right now.

.| FEELING… |. Sick… with allergies. Worst combination ever. At first I thought it was just a really bad case of allergies but then last night a fever and sore throat developed. I have a really weak immune system and get sick countlessly throughout the year so I’m not too surprised I’m sick AGAIN. It just sucks πŸ™

.| WORKING ON… |. My July bride’s timeline! Receiving my wedding worksheets back are so much fun for me. Timelines are on of my absolute favorite parts of being a photographer and planning this out for my brides gets me so excited for their wedding day.

.| LOVING… |. Podcasts! How have I not found these sooner? I posted on my Facebook page recently that I absolutely love listening to the POSH Dj’s Podcasts while I’m editing wedding reception photos because it completely sets the mood and I feel like it makes me much more excited to sit at my desk for hours and edit photos! Not only those Podcasts but the Jess Lively and her “The Lively Show” Podcasts are amazing. So inspiring to hear so many of the bloggers and entrepreneur woman I love and look up to and hear all about how they got to where they are [currently listening to the Podcast with Amber Housley!]

.| LISTENING TO… |. The other day before going to the movies at the mall, Jose and I wandered into Urban Outfitters right as they started playing “Everybody wants to rule the world” by Tears for Fears. I love shopping at Urban Outfitters for the sole fact that they play AWESOME music in the store, and loud too! I walked around the store, shopping their vinyls and singing the song at the top of my lungs. And now I’ve listened to it every single day since then [that was a week ago lol] It’s just SO good!

.| LOOKING FORWARD TO… |. This weekend! I have a FREE Saturday and am so excited to take full advantage of it by going to brunch with friends and getting my hair cut!!! My hair is unruly right now and it’s so bad, I haven’t even straightened it in weeks. It’s just soooo much hair and it’s thick and that’ll take forever. Naturally I am SO excited about this haircut because I haven’t cut it since November! It’s so long and I just can’t wait to cut off a few inches. Oh, and must maintain it!! Β Then, Sunday night I am hosting a girls night in Spa party for my sister-in-law to show off her new endeavor with Rodan and Fields! I’ll be sharing more about it on the blog soon so you can shop it too but mostly I’m so excited to be helping her host a party πŸ™‚

This was fun πŸ™‚ Be sure to take your own weekly intermission! Pause, reflect on how you’re feeling and what you’re up to and live in the moment πŸ™‚
