I have been ANXIOUSLY awaiting this wedding day since 2018! But can you imagine how long Megan and Erik, who have been together since they were in the 8th grade, have been waiting for this day!? They’ve been together for nearly 15 years and had the best time planning their 2020 wedding day and then, what happened? Well, 2020 happened! lol Like so many couples, they had to reschedule their wedding day not once but twice. But they had the BEST attitude about it all. Megan kept saying “we’ve waited this long, a few more months won’t kill us!” It was the most amazing attitude to have and I just prayed and PRAYED their wedding day would be everything they imaged and more.
It’s funny because on their original wedding date it POURED the entire time and I remember thinking it was all meant to be! Luckily, they had nothing but blue skies and PERFECT sunny weather all day long! And everything went exactly the way you’d hope it go on a wedding day! Hair and makeup ran smoothly, all portraits happened on time, no flower girls or ring boys had melt downs, toasts were absolutely beautiful lol seriously – anything that could have put a damper on the day never happened!!
All these two wanted to celebrate their long-awaited wedding day and they did just that! Seeing Erik turn around, see Megan there and just grab her into a big hug made it all worth the wait. These two were finally getting married! They had the most beautiful ceremony, sharing their love story with their guests and exchanging the most beautiful personal vows. And when the time came to drink, dance and celebrate – they did just that! I swear they were on the dance floor all night long and it was SO fun seeing them sing along to every song with their friends and family. When the end of the night came, I did not want to leave! But I am SO excited their life as husband and wife can now finally begin and I am so excited to share my favorite images from their wedding day with you all!
