I just love Carly & Josh’s love story. I love it because it proves how some people are just meant to be. They met in high school and dated for two years before breaking up & living separate lives for FIVE years. And suddenly, one fateful St. Patrick’s day, they see each other again and pick right back up where they left off! It was only fitting their wedding day would be near St. Patrick’s day, with little hints of green everywhere!

It was my first time photographing a wedding at beautiful Bear Brook Valley and it did not disappoint, even if it was freezing cold and covered in snow! At times, it was BRUTALLY cold and we tried to take photos as quickly as possible – but I swear Carly NEVER complained once! And she looked gorgeous and radiant all day long! It was so exciting watching Josh see her for the first time during their first look – he didn’t want to let her go. But the sweetest was seeing them privately exchange their vows together after their first look. They each had their own personalized handkerchiefs – and used them! lol

It was a COLD winter wedding day but everyone was a trooper and was so excited for these two! The drinks never stopped flowing to help keep the bridal party warm 😉 Bear Brook Valley provided the guests hot chocolate to keep warm for the ceremony outdoors and ss the bridal party processional happened, the guests cheered them on! And it was so beautiful watching them do a hand fasting, an Irish wedding tradition, and after almost 15 years together… these two FINALLY were pronounced husband and wife!!

The rest of the night was filled with tons of dancing, guests sipping on the signature drinks and there may have been a cake smashed in the grooms face 😉 The night ended the way it began, with everyone dancing along to their first dance song… and just like that, their marriage has begun! It was such a fun kickoff to my 2021 wedding season and I’m SO excited to share my favorite images from their day with you!!
