It is NOT easy to guarentee you will have gorgeous wedding photos on a rainy day – but when the weather report didn’t budge all week and Desi & Eric’s wedding day finally arrived, I felt confident going into it we would give them beautiful photos regardless of the weather. Maybe it’s because their venue is SO beautiful. The Indian Trail Club has windows all around their ballroom, which gave us SO much light and so much greenery even when we were indoors! Maybe it’s because I knew they would be OK! I mean, weather is the one thing you can’t control on a wedding day. We all know that! And I knew seeing Desi & Eric that morning, the weather would be the last thing on their minds! To say it was a beautiful wedding day is an understatement – it was GORGEOUS! 🙂 I look back at these photos now so happy that we gave them some wonderful memories to remember their day!
I think what we really bonded Desi and Eric and myself was our love for animals. These two LOVE animals like us – they have two cats and a dog, we have two dogs and a cat! lol And on their wedding day, they were sure to incorporate those animals and the love they have for them 🙂 Take note of their ADORABLE cake topper! Plus, their sweet rescue dog, Brownie, made an appearance while they were getting ready! She looks SO cute in her little flower girl outfit. We arrived at Indian Trail Club after their getting ready photos all set for photos. We hit up all the beautiful spots inside and outside and even snuck these two out for some portraits in the rain – something I think is a MUST on a rainy wedding day! I mean, it’s there – why not embrace it for some romantic portraits?? That’s just what they did! 🙂 Not only that but they had a FUN Bridal Party who made the day even more fun and enjoyable for these two!
Before we knew it, it was time for their ceremony. They exchanged rings and their personalized vows, that brought tears to EVERYONE’S eyes. It’s funny how both of them wrote their own vows, without sharing them with one another and their officiants noticed how they mirrored each other PERFECTLY in them. It was amazing to see how perfect they really are together 🙂 Their reception was so fun with people dancing NONSTOP and believe it or not, it FINALLY stopped raining and we were able to go outside for some portraits and their guests got to enjoy their reception on the lake by the end of the night. It all came together perfectly and beautifully for these two and I left their wedding day with my heart so happy for them 🙂
Desi & Eric, CONGRATULATIONS!! I’m so honored I got to be a part of your amazing wedding day and hope you’re having the most amazing time on your honeymoon! Hope you love these photos!! 🙂
