It had called for rain all week long and the weather report was NOT budging. It was going to be cold, rainy AND windy. I think I was more nervous about it than Annie and Michael were though… and seeing Annie the morning of her wedding day immediately calmed ME down. She was nothing but smiles! She was calm and happy and I instantly knew no matter what the weather was, she was going to be in the best mood all day long! Michael was the same way all morning – huge smiles in his photos and he arrived at the church before everyone did and greeted each guest as they entered with a huge grin. It made me SO happy to see that the weather didn’t make one dent in their plans! We made the best of the situation and luckily, it turned out even better than I imagined!! 🙂

My biggest concern was WHERE was I going to take their photos!? We had planned to be outside in the park and not only was it freezing but stepping on muddy grass was just not going to happen. Luckily, their breathtaking church had a covered porch. Alleluiah! And even better? Their Bridal Party was the BEST!! Such troopers!! It was rainy, freezing and windy and on that porch you felt it ALL and these girls were out there with NO pashmina’s, toughing it out and laughing at how cold they were! lol I was SO thankful for them all being up for anything. And I can’t even begin to explain how thankful I am to have had such a HAPPY couple like Annie and Michael on such a miserable day. Most Bride’s would FREAK out with this amount of rain but she didn’t 🙂 She literally was laughing at it saying “Can you believe this rain!?” We were so happy for them! Seriously – I know I’ve said it a million times already but I swear they NEVER stopped smiling!

I always photograph the Groom as the church doors open and he sees his Bride for the first time and the way Michael’s face lit up, I knew he had just seen Annie for the first time. I looked all around me and everyone was crying happy tears watching him and when I looked at Annie, her smile was just as big. They were FINALLY becoming husband and wife, after 10 years of being together! When it was official, the party finally got started at Glen Island Harbor Club! Despite the weather outside, the gorgeous lit up beautifully from all the candlelit lanterns in the room and the dancing NEVER stopped! We watched them as they shared their First Dance together and I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in BOTH toasts from the Best Man and Maid of Honor lol they were AMAZING toasts!! And there were some FUN dancers at their wedding! And the both of them never stopped having fun all night! When I went to say goodbye to them, they were so warm from all the dancing they were doing! lol Which is a good thing! I am so so happy for them and can’t wait to share my favorite images from Annie & Michael’s wedding day!

Annie & Michael, CONGRATULATIONS!! Thank you for letting us be a part of your celebration and for truly being SO amazing! We’re so grateful for you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness!! 🙂
