Jenn & Mike’s romance blossoms in April. This is their love month… same as mine 😉 It’s the month they will become husband and wife in next year (WHOO!) and it’s when they decided to shoot their engagement session. Jenn loves spring and knew if they were going to have an engagement session, it might as well be surrounded by some of the prettiest blooms ever… the cherry blossom! In New Jersey, we are lucky to hold over 5,000 cherry blossom trees in beautiful Branch Brook Park. Um… by the way, this park is LITERALLY right down the block from me! I walk my dogs every day around this park so this was a huge bonus for me! The surprising thing is we have lived 2 years next to this park and we never went to check out the cherry blossoms in bloom! I was overwhelmed by how many there were and how GORGEOUS they were in person. It really is a sight to see.

Another thing I wasn’t prepared for?? How CROWDED it was! I have shot in plenty of crowded cities and sights but this definitely took the cake. It was PACKED! People from everywhere, all different nationalities came to see these gorgeous trees and it did serve as quite the predicament for us. I know how weird an engagement shoot can be in the first place but to add tons of people all over? It’s never what I want for my couples. Luckily for me, Jenn & Mike are the best and didn’t mind it one bit! We were able to find perfect spots in this crowded park where absolutely NO ONE was and it made it even easier for them 🙂 Jenn & Mike were so chill throughout the entire session and it made me feel so relaxed, despite the crowds. Jenn’s GORGEOUS & vibrant red hair stood out beautifully among the blossoms… just wait until you see! 😉 And her ring!? GORGEOUS! It was the perfect ring to shoot among beautiful cherry blossoms.
