We all know that rain on your wedding day is not ideal. Unexpected rain? Even more so! But there’s one thing always to remember when it comes to the weather on your wedding day. And that is regardless of the weather, you are marrying the love of your life! That itself is worth celebrating! Sunshine would be a bonus! And that is the EXACT attitude Jessica and Thomas had on their wedding day. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, they were both SO excited for their wedding day. Like GIDDY excited. And that excitement is SO contagious! I ran off their energy all day long and it never ended! They were SO HAPPY to be marrying each other! Jessica and Thomas each got ready at their homes, with their bridal party and parents. It felt like the morning flew by and suddenly it was time to get MARRIED! I’ll never forget watching Thomas’ face as he saw Jessica for the first time. It was a shock! He seemed speechless until he finally mouthed the words “WOW”. As she made her way up onto the alter to stand next to him, his eyes never left her sight. It was so sweet to see. As they were pronounced husband and wife, the church ERUPTED in applause and cheers. And once again, joy took center stage. SO much happiness! Who wouldn’t be though? They were married!

When we arrived at the beautiful Indian Trail Club it was full on raining. And it was NOT supposed to rain that day!! But they hopped off the shuttle bus with smiles still on their faces. We picked a somewhat dry spot on the patio of the Lakehouse, with the beautiful lake as their backdrop and there they stood as they privately exchanged their personal vows with each other. It was a beautiful moment with lots of tears. We took photos outside after that until we couldn’t anymore and had to be moved inside. But I assure you the fun never stopped this day! They mingled inside cocktail hour while the reception room was prepared for the party – with books at every table handpicked from Jessica and Thomas’ own personal library. Once the party started, it never stopped! This was a Sunday wedding mind you but people were dancing all night long like there was no work tomorrow! lol Guests enjoyed the photobooth, took shots, and participated in lots of Irish dancing along with Jessica and Thomas! There was one Irish family tradition that I’m not even sure what was happening but they all loved it so I loved it! (you’ll see photos below!) And what do you know… by the time the night was winding down, the rain stopped outside and we grabbed a few nighttime shots of just the two of them before they shared their final dance together, alone in their reception room. It was the perfect ending to a beautiful wedding day! Congratulations Jessica and Thomas!! No two people are more deserving of such a lovely day and I wish you both the best in the rest of your future together!!
