From the moment I spoke with Kelly and her mom on Zoom, I loved her! We immediately got along and it felt like I was chatting with an old friend the entire time! Kelly raved about Brian the entire tie, how much fun they had wedding planning and their sweet dog, Maggie! When it got time to book their engagement session, she knew exactly where she wanted to go! It was Skylands Manor at the New Jersey Botanical Gardens – it was one of the places they had considered for their wedding day and though they booked another venue for their wedding, they still fell in love with this location. It was the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos though! The gardens were still in full bloom and everywhere we turned there were vibrant colorful flowers galore!

Here’s the thing you’d NEVER know from their photos – it was GLOOMY the day we met up! Like, strangely gloomy. No rain or storms, just dark clouds all day long. It was so dark and gray but luckily, a little photo magic happened 😉 We had such a fun time walking the gardens and taking photos! We started with quick photos with sweet Maggie and their love for their baseball teams – a house divided as you can see! (Sorry Kelly, I gotta side with Brian on this one!) Then just spent the whole time laughing while taking photos! It did not feel like work at all. My mouth hurt from smiling so much! These two know how to have fun together and if their engagement session was this fun, I can’t imagine how fun their wedding day will be! Enjoy my favorites from their engagement session 🙂
