When Cassondra and Mike decided to capture their engagement moments, they knew exactly where they wanted to go—back to the spot where Mike had popped the question: Sandy Hook Lighthouse. Cassondra and Mike’s session was set against this picturesque scenery. The lighthouse, the oldest working lighthouse in the United States, served as a reminder of their unforgettable proposal. The soft, golden light of the late afternoon added a romantic glow to their photos, perfectly highlighting their connection. Revisiting the site where Mike proposed added an extra layer of sentimentality to the shoot. They reminisced about the special moment, sharing smiles and stories as they recreated some of the magic of that day.
As the sun started to fade, we moved to the bay side of the lighthouse, where the sunset began to paint the sky with hues of gold. The warm glow of the setting sun reflected off the calm waters, creating a breathtaking backdrop for their final shots. Here, Cassondra and Mike’s love truly shone. They shared tender glances and playful moments as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden light that accentuated their affection for each other. Their genuine smiles and close embraces captured the essence of their relationship perfectly. My cheeks hurt from smiling so hard as I watched their love take over the session. I barely had to pose them by the end! These photos will serve as a beautiful reminder of their engagement and the beginning of their journey together! I can’t wait to see them tie the knot next year! Enjoy my favorites from their beautiful summer engagement session!
