With Christmas only 7 days away – whaaaaat?? – I figured now would be a great time to share some of my favorite images from our trip to Disney World last month. I’ve been vacationing to Disney World since I was 9 years old and for as long as I could remember I always had two “bucket list” Disney dreams I wanted to check off. I wanted to celebrate my birthday at Disney & I wanted to be there at Christmas Time. Well, a few months ago my husband surprised the daylights out of me by saying he cashed in our Disney Vacation Club points to go the week of my birthday, while they were celebrating Christmas! I just about DIED! I acted cool and calm in front of him but the minute I walked downstairs away from him, I did the only Chandler happy dance. It was actually HAPPENING!
To say it was a dream come true is an understatement. Both dreams were everything I thought they’d be and MORE! My birthday was such a fantastic day, with every cast member saying “HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” to me every where we went, getting free Starbucks treats from the Main Street Bakery and having the most delicious birthday dinner while watching the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom. Christmas at Disney World is unlike anything else! All four parks are decorated beautifully to each parks theme but of course, my favorite was Magic Kingdom π We stayed one night for the “Very Merry Christmas Party” and enjoyed free hot chocolate and cookies, dance parties with Chip & Dale, an insane Christmas parade and SNOW! In Florida! It was so fun and I hope to go back & enjoy it again one day!
So happy to share some of my favorite pictures from the trip – and some trip highlights π
Us on Main Street U.S.A on my birthday! π My face says it all… I was a happy birthday girl!
drinks before dinner at The Contemporary Resort
our delicious sushi appetizer and the view from dinner – Fireworks over the Magic Kingdom!
We had dinner at The California Grill at the Contemporary Resort. One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to and I highly recommend it π
My birthday cake was Creme Brulee! And Jose had mini dessert samples – How adorable π
beautiful Disney Ornaments in the parks
this is a lifesize Gingerbread House made and on display at the Grand Floridian Hotel – it was HUGE and smelled delicious! Next Disney Bucket List item? Stay at the Grand Floridian π
The Disney Park trees! [from left to right: Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios & EPCOT]
One of Jose’s bucket list items – sitting in a class with an Animator and learning how to draw a cartoon character! He was in HEAVEN! π
Another one of Jose’s bucket list items we checked off – eating at the Mexico Pavillion in EPCOT. What fabulous ambiance!
Magic Kingdom all decorated for Christmas – so colorful!
The Christmas Parade! It was amazing to see this! I’ve watched the Disney Christmas parade ever since I was little so it was so fun to actually see these reindeer and toy soldiers!
As far as I’m concerned, it’s mandatory to buy yourself some Mickey Ears. I of course picked the ones that were the most christmas-y looking and sparkliest π
And some of my favorite iPhone photos – what a dream vacation!
