One of the main purposes of an engagement session is to capture the unique relationship between the soon-to-be bride and groom as it is right now during this special season of their lives together. So I always strive to capture the authentic dynamic between each of my couples, because each couple is a little different. Kaitlin & Jeffrey made it SO easy for me to capture their fun, loving and easy-going relationship! They are naturals in front of the camera, something Kaitlin insists is not true but I swear… even if I try, I do NOT look this good in photos!! lol I don’t think I’ve ever laughed and smiled so much during a shoot. I’m thinking that that is just the effect that these two have on people though!

I met Kaitlin & Jeff in Hoboken on a beautiful Sunday! We had originally planned to meet the day before but it was SO dark, rainy and gloomy all day so we met the next day instead. It was a completely different change of weather! Blue skies and sunshine, nice and warm out… we got so lucky! We began their session out on exact Pier that Jeff had proposed to Kaitlin on a few months before. It was windy, just like it was the night he proposed, and it was so fun hearing them relive that moment right in the spot where it happened! And it’s crazy that now they are only months away from becoming husband and wife! These two RADIATE love and joy. You will see that as you scroll through their photos… the way they look at each other, the contagious smiles and laughter they share together. They are just THAT happy together and it was SO fun and amazing to capture. I swear, my camera could NOT keep up with how fast I was clicking away capturing every second of their joy.

We ended their session on Bloomfield Street in Hoboken, surrounded by some gorgeous brownstones. They danced on the sidewalk and this might have been my favorite part of the entire session. Just watching them laugh and be silly together. They were up for anything and my god, this was just the engagement session!! I can’t even imagine how AWESOME their wedding photos are going to be and how much fun we will have on that day! 🙂 It’s going to be an amazing day, I just know it.
