Hoboken never ceases to amaze me. I can photograph couples again and again and again there and I’ll always find new spots and new photo opportunities that weren’t there before 🙂 I honestly don’t know what my favorite season in the city is but right now, I’m going with SPRING! It wasn’t too hot, it wasn’t too crowded (and it was a GORGEOUS day)… the perfect day to meet up and capture Marta & James’ engagement photos for them!
We started their session in the gorgeous Lackawanna train station. It’s SO pretty inside, with all that vintage train station charm. We then proceeded to walk all around the Hoboken waterfront, take photos in front of the Hoboken Mural (a city STAPLE! If you didn’t take your engagement photos in front of the Hoboken mural – did your engagement session even happen?? lol) and ended near the charming cobblestone streets and in front of the old school brownstones. SO many amazing spots in Hoboken for engagement photos. But what made it even more fun was hanging out with Marta & James the whole time! We talked about EVERYTHING – their favorite restaurants in town, how their wedding planning has been going (oh man! After chatting we them, we can not WAIT for their wedding day!!) and Jose and I had so much fun taking their minds off of wedding planning for a bit and just capturing their love together. And man, are they the cutest together. If they were nervous, they NEVER looked it! Just big smiles on their faces the entire time! And it was so cute watching them kiss – the kissing never stopped! 😉
It was almost 2 years ago that I first met Marta & James at Starbucks in Hoboken! They told me all about their lovely wedding plans, how excited they were to finally be in this stage of their lives and how they knew they wanted to capture their engagement photos in the city they’ve been living in and have grown to love together, Hoboken! If you know me, you know I just love Hoboken and this just made me SO excited 🙂 I had to wait almost a whole year and a half to see them again since our meeting but it was well worth the wait! I had SO much fun catching up with them and getting SO excited for their wedding day. Remember these faces – you’ll be seeing them on the blog again in two weeks when they are officially MARRIED!!
