In a way.. Dina & Patrick’s wedding day was SO surreal for Jose and I! We have known Patrick since he was 17 and one of my little sister’s best friends – and now he was getting MARRIED!? Whaaat?? And not only that but my sister is the best woman in the wedding AND officiated the exchanging of their hand-written vows to each other! It was so crazy. But it was also a BLAST! Arriving to the hotel they were getting ready at, excitement was in the air! The day has finally come and not only was it here but it was GORGEOUS out! October weddings are notoriously surprisingly cold or filled with rain but they had the PERFECT day! Patrick got dressed with the help of his groomsmen, my sister his best woman and his best man, his dad! Is that just the cutest thing ever? Dina got dressed with the help of her two sisters and her mom – and the minute Dina slipped on her jewelry and her Bridal look was complete, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. The cutest part? Not only did Dina have a sweet and emotional first look with her dad but Patrick had one with his mom! We’ve NEVER done a first look of a groom and his mom and it was the sweetest! I smell a new trend coming 🙂
The most important part of a wedding day is the ceremony. That’s what it all centers around and is the moment the Bride & Groom become a husband and wife. Dina & Patrick knew exactly how important this part of a weeding day is and thought out their ceremony carefully, filling it with meaningful moments and special touches. From the minute Patrick walked down the aisle hand in hand with their flower girl, and his adorable niece Scarlet – you knew it’d be a special ceremony. Dina walked down the aisle to “Can you feel the love tonight?” which was so perfect since their ceremony was right at twilight. It just can’t get more romantic then that? As the sun set, they exchanged rings and Dina’s cousins rang bells in memory of the loved ones no longer with them. My sister officiated their exchanging of vows and Dina’s sister sang a special song for the two – “With so little to be sure of” from the Broadway show, Anyone can whistle (They are Broadway geeks just like us! Plus, Dina’s sister studied and teaches theatre and has a PHENOMENAL singing voice!) So many special moments during the ceremony… and before we knew it, they were husband and wife and were sharing their first kiss! 🙂
The sun had set and the harvest moon came out as took their portraits under the moonlight. We’ve never taken wedding photos of a Bride & Groom completely at night time and it felt so special and ten times more romantic! They just had the biggest smiles on their faces the whole time and were on cloud nine the rest of the night! They shared their first dance, Harvest Moon by Neil Young (uhm… how PERFECT is that!?), while all their family and friends watched and soon after that – the party officially began and the dance floor NEVER emptied! Only for the sweet toasts made by their Bridal Party and Dina’s father. It was such a fun day and I am so excited to share their photos and relive the day today! 🙂
Dina & Patrick, CONGRATULATIONS!! You guys are MARRIED!! Thank you so much for letting Jose and I be a part of such a special and beautiful day! 🙂
