They met in gym class in high school. They dated for a bit, on and off, and went their separate ways in college. But they always kept in touch. They always remained in the back of each other’s minds. After they moved back to their hometown from college, that is when it all clicked together for Danielle & Ryan. They reconnected and have been dating ever since. Once they were about to close on a townhouse together, Ryan knew it was time to make it official and ask Danielle to become not only his roommate but his wife! The day after they closed, in the middle of their future dining room, Ryan totally caught Danielle off guard and proposed to her. Completely shocked, she said yes! They began to plan their wedding day and never became nervous or doubtful of what they were doing… but ten times more sure that this was exactly where they were supposed to be. Together. Just like their cake topper said… “it was always you”.
200 of their friends and their family gathered at the church for their ceremony where Danielle’s uncle, Father Joe, married them! How special is that? And everything he said about these two was so true! That God had his plan for them, all the way back before they were on this earth, that they would be together 🙂 The ceremony ended and despite it drizzling – EVERYONE stood outside of the church and blew celebratory bubbles for Danielle & Ryan! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many bubbles! We headed over to the Stone House at Stirling Ridge, one of my favorite venues, for their portraits. The rain picked up a bit but the Bridal Party NEVER let it bother them. Everyone was in the best mood and it made portraits a breeze 🙂 And wouldn’t you know it – right when we started Danielle & Ryan’s portraits, the rain STOPPED! That’s magic that can only happen on a wedding day 🙂
It was a day full of so many magical moments – from Ryan’s adorable reaction to Danielle’s gift of a new watch and personalized bourbon bottle (with bourbon in it!) to Danielle being brought to tears sharing a first look with her mom and dad. Their sweet reactions to seeing each other for the first time at the ceremony… Ryan’s face was GLOWING! The biggest smile I’ve ever seen and he couldn’t take his eyes off Danielle, even as they stood up at the alter. Of course, ALL the bubbles and the hysterical entrances of the Bridal Party in the reception! The very touching speech Ryan’s brother gave. Danielle’s father and sister gave great speeches but his was so sweet and sentimental, it had everyone in the room “aww-ing”! But my favorite moments were when it was just Danielle & Ryan together 🙂 The way they laughed together, the way they looked at each other… so much love between them. It truly was a beautiful celebration, and I feel so lucky to have been a part of it. Danielle & Ryan – congratulations on such a wonderful start to your lives together as husband and wife! And thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us be a part of it 🙂 Enjoy reliving a few of my favorite moments below!
