One of my favorite parts of our job is photographing our couples at new-to-us venues and The Rockleigh was just that! Though we’ve been there before as guests at weddings, we’ve never had the privilege of photographing a wedding there ourselves until this past weekend and wow! They sure know how to take care of Brides and Grooms! Everything was so perfect for Diana and Ed – we had no problem going to any part of the Rockleigh for portraits and were able to take advantage of their ENTIRE grounds all night long. My other favorite part of our job is working with our wonderful couples! Diana and Ed are my dream client. They NEVER got tired of taking photos, never once complained and were up for a photo opportunity every time I brought it up! Sometimes I worry I’ll be annoying to my couples but that was not the case with these two! Even when I stole them out of their reception for 5 minutes to get a shot of them outside right as the sun had set (and their dinner arrived at their table)… TOTALLY worth it!! 😉
Diana & Ed were surrounded by 220 of their family and friends that came together to see them become husband and wife. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a church this crowded for a wedding day and that was so exciting to see! From the minute we showed up at their getting ready locations, everyone was in the best mood 🙂 The bridesmaids were having a blast getting their hair and makeup done, the guys were grilling outside and enjoying the beautiful summer wedding – NOTHING could go wrong with the spirits this high and nothing did! The gasp in the room when Diana turned around with her wedding dress on almost brought tears to my eyes. She was drop-dead gorgeous and Eddie was going to DIE when he saw her. That’s all the girls kept saying – Eddie is not going to believe his eyes when he sees his Bride. Just scroll down and see that HUGE smile on his face when he looked at the church doors and saw Diana walking towards him… what a smile!
Their wedding day was full of so much love, laughter (LOTS of laughter) and it was the most glamorous wedding we’ve ever shot, hands down! Diana looked like a princess straight out of a fairy tale. Ed and his groomsmen looked so handsome their suits. Plus, The Rockleigh was just the perfect backdrop for their reception – I mean… did you SEE the photo that opened this post?? I have so many favorite parts from their sweet wedding day – it’s REALLY hard to choose one. I loved seeing Diana walk down the stairs to her first look with her father. He was speechless and the sweet tears that followed after he opened his gift from her were airborne… we were ALL crying along with them! I LOVED when all the men in Eddie’s family serenaded Diana with “You’ve lost that loving feeling” – a family tradition! I loved their adorable first dance to Frank Sinatra’s “The Best is Yet to Come”. What a perfect song for a first dance! And Eddie singing it to his new wife just killed me. They are SO cute together, so happy together and that love filled the air their entire day long. I can go on and on about these two but I know you’re dying to see their photos so let’s get to it!!
Diana and Ed, thank you both so much for letting us be a part of your beautiful wedding day! We love you both so much and wish you MANY more years of love and happiness!!
Enjoy some of my favorite photos that tell the story of Diana & Ed’s wedding day 🙂
