Alanna and David’s wedding was the perfect blend of tradition, romance, and just the right amount of whimsy — a celebration as unique and joy-filled as they are.
The day began with umbrellas under a gray sky of drizzle. But if you know Alanna and David, you know their love could brighten any storm. Before the ceremony, they shared a quiet, heartfelt moment during their first look at nearby Divine Park — just the two of them. David turned around with shock and joy in his eyes as he saw his beautiful wife-to-be standing in front of him, in the most gorgeous wedding dress with a customized veil, with their initials embroidered as well as a headband adorning the fabric from her own mother’s wedding dress! And David wore cufflinks with pieces of Alanna’s dress inside them (no detail untouched!!) With teary smiles, they privately exchanged vows, words filled with deep love, inside jokes, and promises meant only for each other. It was an intimate pause in the whirlwind of the day, a beautiful reminder of the bond they share — tender, steady, and deeply personal. We then made our way to their beautiful church, where Father Brown shared the most touching sermon, sharing what 10-year-olds thought love was – a sweet nod to Alanna, who is a teacher herself!
When we arrived at their venue, beautiful Clarks Landing, the sun was shining, casting golden light over the waterfront — a perfect setting for the couple’s celebration! We ran down to the dock for photos by the water, just in case it started to rain again, but the sun just continued to shine! The reception space was stunning, filled with laughter, dancing, and thoughtful touches that made the day feel so personal! From their personalized guestbook to the cards around the cocktail hour, filled out by Alanna’s students, no detail was untouched!
One of the most delightful details? Ducks! Yes — ducks! From the moment the invitations arrived, it was clear that these two shared a special affection for the waddling little birds (Actually, more David than Alanna but she loves it!). They popped up everywhere — in the drink napkins as well as perched on top of their gorgeous cake. Every little duck detail brought smiles and knowing nods from guests who understood how perfectly it reflected Alanna and David’s playful spirits. As the sun set over the water and the dance floor stayed packed well into the night, there was no doubt — this was a day filled with love, laughter, and just enough quirk to make it unforgettable.
Congratulations, Alanna and David!! Thank you for letting us be a part of your joy and we wish you nothing but endless happiness!!
