The best thing about planning your wedding is it is YOUR wedding. While there are templates for what a wedding day typically is, there are absolutely no rules. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to. And that’s the beauty of it too – essentially it’s not about having a wedding, it’s about getting married and celebrating who you are as a couple. So when I met with Emily and Peter and they told me they were kicking a lot of the typical wedding traditions to the curb, I was nothing but EXCITED. They were getting married a couple of days before privately and not having a big bridal party, just straight to cocktail hour and the reception at the venue and once the reception started – just dancing! I LOVED everything they were planning. And I was honored! I mean… they could have chosen to not have a photographer too but they did! And it was an amazing day!
