This is an exciting post because it’s the very first engagement session of 2024 for me!! And what better way to kick off engagement sessions than with a trip to TEXAS!? When I spoke with Amy and Jacob on the phone about their wedding day and possibly booking me as their wedding photographer, they casually asked if I’d be willing to fly out for their engagement session to Texas. Though they are getting married in New Jersey, they currently live in Texas and love their home so much. I casually said “of course!” and then secretly prayed it would actually happen! Sure enough, they booked me for their wedding day and I continued to pray Texas would happen and luckily – it did!! I was OVER THE MOON to be traveling to a brand new state for their engagement session and they were just the best hosts ever! Showing me around the city, bringing me to their favorite spots, and picking the BEST spots for their engagement photos!
It was so fun having them send me photos of the spots they loved in Texas and then seeing it in person, ten times more beautiful than I could have imagined! Spring was just kicking off in Texas and it was a cloudy day but it was BEAUTIFUL weather and it’s funny because I’m so used to a warm spring day bringing everyone out of their winter holes in New Jersey but that’s not the case in Texas! lol It felt so quiet everywhere we went and it made it even easier to go to all their favorite spots for photos. I LOVED the backdrop of the Houston skyscrapers in their photos! And they just popped right off of it! This session felt EFFORTLESS. Maybe it was because we had been hanging out for dinner and breakfast and we all felt so comfortable with each other by the time we started taking photos but it TRULY felt like I was just stopping my sightseeing tour to take fun photos of my friends along the way. I just LOVE these two much and left Texas with a happy heart 🙂 I’m counting down the days until I get to see them again on their wedding day! Enjoy my favorites from their engagement session!!!
