Rock Island Lake Club Wedding Photos - Tina Elizabeth Photography

I can not believe my 2023 has officially ended and I couldn’t have imagined a better couple to end it with than Candace & Michael!! Candace & Michael first met when they were sixteen in high-school together!! They actually met at a friends sweet sixteen, exchanged BBM numbers (that’s BLACK BERRY messenger for those that don’t know… what a throwback that is! lol) and the rest is history! It’s always exciting showing up to a wedding day with two people that have been together for so long and are just nothing but EXCITED for the day! They were all smiles while getting ready. Michael and his groomsmen got ready downstairs in the groom suite, all showing up in their NFL apparel of their favorite teams (bet you can’t guess Michael’s favorite team lol) while Candace and her girls wore comfy sweats and hung out in the bridal suite upstairs! They also had the company of their ADORABLE 3 ring boys! It was a beautiful but chilly November wedding day – it may have been cold but it wasn’t snowing OR raining so we GLADLY took it! 😉

Candace and Michael shared their first look on the dock of Rock Island Lake Club and you could see whatever nerves there were just disappear the minute they saw each other. They instantly looked at ease to see each other and it was so fun walking all over Rock Island with them for photos! They LOVED their venue and wanted to utilize all the great photo spots they had and the weather was so perfect! The sun sets a little earlier now and it made the prettiest glow in all of their photos!! After having fun with bridal party and family photos, as the sun started to set we got closer to ceremony time! As the sun set over the lake, Candace walked down the aisle with her mom towards Michael. Their ceremony was short and sweet (maybe cos by this time it was COLD out! lol) but they didn’t seem to mind one bit! Cocktail hour is where it’s at when it comes to Rock Island Lake Club and every station of food was better than the next – but the tailgate table was THE spot of the night and it was decked out in Miami Dolphins gear for these two! 🙂 They danced their way into their reception and NEVER stopped dancing! I remember when I photographed their engagement session last year Mike told me he was the most excited about the reception so I had high hopes for their reception and it did not disappoint! They shared beautiful parent dances with their moms and in honor of Candace’s late dad, everyone toasted and drank a beer in his honor. It was a beautiful touching moment and the rest of the night just felt like one big celebration for their love together! SO many amazing photos from this wedding day, I just love these two so much and can’t wait to relive it all again on the blog! Candace and Mike – CONGRATULATIONS!!
