I am SO excited to be sharing Samantha and Russell’s beautiful fall wedding day today – because for the first time in six weeks, we had a beautiful sunny wedding day!! We have had a string of crazy bad weather for the past few weeks so I wasn’t sure what to expect on Samantha and Russell’s wedding day but low and behold, sunny WARM weather! Almost a little too warm for October (seriously, it was 80 degrees lol) but there were many perks to the warm weather. Because they were Jewish and getting married on a Saturday, we had to wait until the end of Shabbat at sundown and typically, it would have been chilly outside at sundown in October but these two got lucky 😉 I loved all the traditions they shared together because they are Jewish – the signing of the Ketubah felt so special, especially with not just their parents but all their bridal party there to witness it! And hearing the seven blessings during their ceremony felt especially poignant with all that is happening in the world. And I swear when Russell broke the glass it was the loudest Mazel Tov I’ve ever heard from a crowd of guests!
I LOVED the details of Samantha and Russell’s wedding day and the mixture of elegance and relaxed! Their wedding was black tie and their guests dressed to the nines and danced the night away in the most beautiful ballroom with gorgeous vibrant pink and orange flowers everywhere! I LOVED the neutral bridesmaid’s dresses against the pops of color in their bouquets and Russell and his groomsmen looked so sharp in their suits, while Russell popped with his velvet loafers. When Samantha described her wedding day to me she simply said FLOWERS! and she was right! Everywhere you looked, there were stunning flowers – from the escort card table to the staircase that greets guests when they enter the Gramercy to the most beautiful centerpieces at every table. At the same time, Samantha wore Converses and changed back into her sweats once dancing got started and I LOVED IT!! I always push for my Brides to be themselves on their wedding days and do what feels right and comfortable for them so I LOVED her vibes! It was such a beautiful wedding day from start to finish and I am SO excited to share their beautiful wedding day with you!! Samantha and Russell – CONGRATULATIONS!! I love you both so much and wish you nothing but endless laughter and joy together!!
